Rising Stars: Meet Chris Lambert of Orlando Fl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Lambert.

Hi Chris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started designing ideas in my head when I had cancer, and when I was in the hospital during Covid, I was able to put these plans into action and with the help of one of my friends was able to start my journey putting together children’s books and creating stories and working with a design team in Bulgaria to bring the stories to life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There was a lot of struggles along the way learning how to put together. A children’s book is not as easy as people think it is. There’s a lot of work behind it from the illustrations to publication to websites to getting it out there in the world.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
For my main job I my cocktail server for Disney. I love communicating with people from around the world I like hospitality. I think I get it from my mom. She worked for hospitality for over 20 years. I think I’m most proud of the way that I can connect with anybody and have great listening skills.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for anyone that is trying to do what I’m doing is to do a lot of research look up YouTube videos of how to start doing children’s books. A lot of things are a little bit easier now with AI technology, but I would recommend going the old-fashioned way of doing things to learn from the basics because you get a better understanding and a sense of accomplishment from it. I wish I would’ve known how much time and effort and money. It takes to make children’s books because it’s not as simple as people think it is there’s a lot of process to it and a lot of time and patience and learning.
