Hidden Gems: Meet Glauber Morare of Nossa Radio USA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Glauber Morare.

Hi Glauber, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Absolutely. Nossa Rádio USA was born from a deep desire to connect, serve, and uplift the Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking community living in the United States. We started as a small radio initiative with a big dream: to create a platform where people could feel at home—spiritually, culturally, and emotionally—no matter how far they were from their homeland.

In the beginning, we faced the typical challenges of a startup: limited resources, small reach, and the challenge of building trust with a diverse and growing immigrant audience. But we never lost our vision. Through hard work, consistency, and a strong sense of mission, we expanded our operations to reach listeners across multiple states—including Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida—through AM and digital platforms.

What truly sets us apart is our balance of faith-based content, community news, music, immigration resources, and real-life stories that matter to our audience. Over the years, Nossa Rádio USA has become more than just a radio station—it’s become a trusted voice, a source of hope, and a meeting point for thousands of families navigating life in a new country.

Today, we’re proud to be part of the everyday lives of so many people, helping them stay informed, inspired, and connected. And we believe this is just the beginning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road—but a meaningful and purposeful one.

Building a radio network in a foreign country, aimed at serving the immigrant community, has been filled with challenges. One of the biggest obstacles has been working with a constantly shifting audience, living under the weight of immigration uncertainty. Many of our listeners face legal, financial, and emotional stress daily. That reality deeply impacts how we speak, what we broadcast, and the kind of support we strive to provide.

We’ve also faced serious financial hurdles, especially when major sponsors pulled out or failed to meet their commitments. At one point, broken agreements led to severe losses that put the future of the station at risk. But even in the darkest moments, we chose to hold on to our mission.

One of the most humbling experiences has been discovering our reach behind bars. We receive letters and testimonies from incarcerated individuals who listen to Nossa Rádio USA daily. In many cases, we are their only connection to hope, faith, and the world outside. That responsibility fuels our sense of purpose and reminds us that what we do matters—far beyond what ratings or revenue can measure.

The road has been filled with obstacles, but we’ve walked it with resilience, faith, and an unshakable commitment to our community. That’s what keeps us going.

Whether on air, online, or on the streets, Nossa Rádio USA is more than a station—it’s a trusted companion in the immigrant journey.

How do you think about luck?
We believe more in God, purpose, and hard work than in luck.

Throughout our journey, we’ve faced situations that some might call “bad luck”—broken contracts, financial setbacks, and technical failures that came out of nowhere. But rather than seeing these moments as misfortune, we’ve learned to view them as part of a greater process—refining our mission, strengthening our team, and deepening our dependence on God.

Likewise, what others might call “good luck”—divine appointments, unexpected doors opening, or key opportunities arising at the right time—we see as grace. Moments like these have confirmed that when we stay aligned with our calling and work diligently, the results follow.

So, while luck is a word the world often uses, for us, it’s always been about faith, obedience, and perseverance.
