Daily Inspiration: Meet Anasthashia Collins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anasthashia Collins.

Hi Anasthashia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Where do I start? I recently graduated with my MBA, and since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of being my own boss. Watching my mom, an entrepreneur herself, light up with joy inspired me to pursue my own path and create happiness and success for both myself and my clients.

I wear many hats in the entrepreneurial world: I’m a photographer, a real estate agent, and a sports event host for the volleyball community. I thrive on fun and am always seeking growth in my business. The highlight of my work is witnessing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and seeing the tears of joy from my clients. Those moments confirm that I’ve done a fantastic job. My mother always encouraged me to aim high and never settle for less, and I’ve taken that advice to heart. I give everything I do my all.

Being an entrepreneur isn’t just about making money; it’s about uplifting the community and spreading joy. This philosophy drives my volleyball tournaments. As a former volleyball player, I always aspired to be a coach but never had the opportunity. Hosting tournaments became my way of giving back. I welcome both adults and youth to participate, turning a dream into reality. Volleyball has brought immense joy to my life and helped me forge bonds that feel like family. I strive to make my tournaments a second home for everyone, filled with laughter, cherished memories, friendly competition, and, of course, prizes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced my share of challenges. As a newcomer, seeking clients to hire me or register for my events can be daunting. When I first ventured into photography, I nearly gave up; it felt overwhelming, and clients were hard to find. Thankfully, my best friend helped me land my first client, which was a true blessing. My husband also played a crucial role, supporting me as I learned the ropes of photography.

Eventually, I decided to pursue a new endeavor and that was organizing a volleyball tournaments within the local community. I remember hosting my first volleyball tournament wasn’t as challenging, but I was nervous. Why? Because I’m a hype girl! I thrive on bringing energy to my team and the people around me. I understand how stressful and nerve-wracking it can be to compete in a tournament. Having someone to cheer you on can make all the difference, allowing you to focus on enjoying the sport you love.

I was anxious about how everyone would respond, but it turned out to be an incredible experience! I embrace who I am and will always remain that hype girl, bringing positivity and excitement to every event.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ll keep this brief, as I’ve shared a lot about myself in previous responses. I’m a photographer, real estate agent, and sports event host for the volleyball community. What I take the most pride in is witnessing the joy and success that my work brings to my clients.

What sets me apart from others is the unique energy, hype, confidence, and motivation I bring to my business. I always put myself in my clients’ shoes. If you ask anyone I’ve worked with—whether it’s at a tournament, during a photo shoot, or in a real estate transaction—they’ll tell you I’m professional, honest, driven, and one of the most positive people you’ll ever meet. My clients are the most important part of my job, and they deserve to be treated as if I were in their position.

What are your plans for the future?
My ultimate goal isn’t some outlandish dream, but simply to be able to wave goodbye to the traditional grind before I hit 60, ideally while still building a thriving business right here in our community. Seriously, the thought of having that freedom – more time for myself, for family, and just generally enjoying life without the daily commute dread – sounds absolutely blissful. But here’s the kicker: it’s not about stopping altogether; it’s about shifting gears so my business becomes purely a passion project, something I can pour my energy into on my own terms, truly focusing on making a positive impact locally and seeing it grow. So yeah, that’s the sweet spot: financial independence combined with the joy of contributing and creating something meaningful, all on my own schedule.

I’ll love to build my dream home and Get my mother her dream home. I was raised by a single mother and she not once complained for raising 4 kids by herself. She deserves all the credit for my success.
