Fueled by a passion for music and a lack of resources, Shawn taught himself everything from music recording, mixing, mastering, video editing, and drone work through “YouTube University,” eventually launching a successful wedding media business offering photography, video, DJ, makeup, and more. His creative grind evolved into a full-blown side hustle — and his gift of gab made him a natural at connecting with people.
After a successful stint in door-to-door sales with ADT, where he set records and ran his own office, Shawn found himself at a crossroads. Blackballed by a non-compete, unsure of his next move, he had a conversation with his grandmother at Thanksgiving 2016 that changed his life. A former realtor herself, she told him he had it — the charisma, the hustle, the heart — and even paid for his real estate schooling to prove it.
By September 2017, Shawn was licensed and closed his first deal just a few months later. From day one, he approached real estate like a creative entrepreneur — combining old-school grind with modern flair. He leveraged his ADT clients and neighborhood canvassing strategy to land listings, and within his first year, he had 12 closings under his belt. Year two? Fifteen. And it only kept growing from there.
Today, Shawn is a respected Branch Manager at LPT Realty in Orlando, a leader who trains and mentors agents while continuing to serve buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Central Florida. But he’s also built a name as The Rapping Realtor — fusing classic hip hop with real estate content that educates, entertains, and attracts clients like never before. His award-winning videos have helped him generate massive brand recognition and a loyal referral-based business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Theres always struggles along the way. From falling flat on your face to taking several steps backwards, theres always a risk of failure or coming up short. From business partners who self sabotage and destroy everything we built over a 3 year period, to losing my entire retirement plan by partnering with a fool, theres never a lack of entertaining stories that lead to the final stage we all call success. Without these failures and life lessons though, we dont get a chance to build our character and find out who we really are. These obstacles and moments that make you want to quit, are what define us and separates the weak from the relentless.

I run my real estate business out of Central Florida, where I serve as a Branch Manager with LPT Realty in Orlando. I help buyers, sellers, and investors navigate one of the most important transactions of their lives — but I do it a little differently than most.
I specialize in creative marketing, relationship-based sales, and building trust through authenticity. What I’m probably most known for is my brand The Rapping Realtor — where I remix classic hip hop songs into real estate-themed music videos. It’s entertainment with strategy behind it. These videos have won awards, generated serious buzz, and most importantly, helped me build deep connections with people who feel like they already know me before we ever meet.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just sell homes — I create memorable experiences, I educate, and I entertain. I take pride in the fact that I’ve built a 90% referral-based business just by being real, working hard, and putting people first. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor, or a seller trying to maximize their return, I meet them where they are and make the process smooth, clear, and even fun.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how I’ve been able to merge my creative side with my business side — showing other agents and clients that you don’t have to fit into a traditional mold to be successful.
