Today we’d like to introduce you to Marjani Moore.
Hi Marjani, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
How I started:
I started That Meal Prep Dietitian because I realized so many people—myself included—struggled with balancing nutrition, fitness goals, and a busy lifestyle without feeling restricted or overwhelmed. I wanted to show that meal prep doesn’t have to be boring, complicated, or all about dieting. I began by sharing simple, high-protein, macro-conscious recipes that were realistic for everyday life, and over time, my content grew because people connected with the practical, non-restrictive approach.
How I got to where I am today:
Getting here has been a combination of consistent sharing, learning from my audience, and staying true to my philosophy: meal prep should support your life, not control it. I experimented with content, listened to what my community needed, and focused on creating approachable, delicious meals that help people meet their goals without giving up the foods they love. Along the way, I’ve also been strategic about expanding into products, educational content, and future eBooks, which has allowed me to reach even more people and build a brand that’s about empowering others in the kitchen and beyond.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth road?
Honestly, no—it’s definitely had its challenges. One of the biggest struggles has been growing a following in a space where negative content often gets more attention than positive, helpful content. I’m committed to sharing realistic, supportive, and non-restrictive meal prep content, and sometimes that means it takes longer to get noticed or go viral. But I’ve learned that staying true to my vision—creating content that genuinely helps people—matters more than chasing trends. Every small win, every message from someone saying my content made meal prep less stressful or more enjoyable, reminds me why I started. It’s taught me that growth isn’t just about numbers—it’s about impact, consistency, and showing up even when it’s hard.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
That Meal Prep Dietitian is all about helping busy people take the stress out of meal prep while still hitting their nutrition goals. I specialize in realistic, high-protein, macro-conscious meals that are easy to make, delicious, and sustainable—no fad diets, no restriction, just practical guidance you can actually stick to.
What sets me apart is my focus on balance and flexibility. I want people to enjoy food, feel empowered in the kitchen, and see meal prep as a tool to make their lives easier, not more complicated. I’m known for creating content that’s approachable, actionable, and rooted in real-life experiences—like step-by-step cooking video shorts and talking head nutrition tips that break down how to make meal prep, and overall nutrition, practical and achievable.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of building a community where people feel supported and inspired rather than judged. I want readers to know that That Meal Prep Dietitian isn’t just about recipes—it’s about helping people save time, reach their health and fitness goals, and feel confident in the kitchen. Whether it’s through my meal prep videos, eBooks, or tips, my goal is to make healthy, satisfying eating achievable and enjoyable for everyone.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is helping my momma cook in the kitchen. I was basically her little sous chef, doing everything I could to help, but my absolute favorite part was being her taste tester (lol!)—getting to sample everything as she cooked. That early love for cooking and experimenting with flavors is also what inspired me to start That Meal Prep Dietitian, and it’s still at the heart of my brand today: making meal prep fun, approachable, and something you can actually enjoy.
