Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgette Casimir.
Hi Georgette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story didn’t begin in weddings at all. I actually started out studying to become a neurosurgeon. I thought my way of giving back would be through medicine, but after years of science and labs, I realized my heart wasn’t in it. What I did know was that I wanted to serve, to create something meaningful and unforgettable in people’s lives.
The turning point came when my first son was born. Watching him grow reminded me that passion, love, and work don’t have to be separate. That’s when I made the leap, and in 2013, Pea to Tree Events was born. I traded scrubs and scalpels for design boards and timelines, and since then I’ve had the honor of crafting weddings that celebrate culture, tradition, and unforgettable love stories.
Over the years, I’ve specialized in multicultural and luxury weddings. The kind of experiences that feel like a journey, not just an event. My goal is always to make couples feel seen, cared for, and fully immersed in a day that reflects who they are.
Now, I’m so excited to be expanding my work here Globally as well. More in more of my South Asian couple are wanted to experience something different. While weddings will always be my first love, I’m also building Champagne Empress: a lifestyle brand and empire that merges luxury, love, and empowerment. But it all begins here, with creating extraordinary luxury weddings that last a lifetime.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I started this journey as a young mom with very little support, stepping into an industry I knew nothing about. On top of learning how to run a business, I had to quickly immerse myself in the rich cultural traditions of the couples I served: North Indian, South Indian, Pakistanis, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, South American, Caribbean and more. Each wedding came with new lessons in honoring traditions while creating a seamless, luxury experience.
I also had to grow into understanding how to communicate with so many different personalities-from clients to vendors to entire families- and how to perfect both the guest experience and the design side of my business.
And of course, like so many in this industry, Covid brought its own challenges with cancellations and constant rescheduling. But every obstacle pushed me to get better, refine my systems, and elevate the way I serve.
I’ve always been perseverant, and I see every challenge as part of what shaped me into the planner and designer I am today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Pea to Tree Events?

We create weddings that aren’t just events, but immersive experiences. Celebrations that honor tradition, showcase culture, and feel deeply personal to every couple.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always curious and creative, a little bit of a dreamer. I loved learning new languages, dancing, and exploring, often on my own. I didn’t always fit in, and I was okay with that because I enjoyed carving my own path.
I grew up in a strict family where success was defined by being a doctor, lawyer, or engineer, and for a long time I thought I’d be a neurosurgeon. But deep down, I was the adventurous one, the one who wanted to experience the world, soak in cultures, and create. That mix of curiosity, creativity, and independence has stayed with me, and it’s exactly what I bring into weddings today
