Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with A Beck of West Orlando

We’re looking forward to introducing you to A Beck. Check out our conversation below.

Hi A, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
A team a collective a bunch of really dope individuals working to create their best craft. Shot out to my brothers Devastator , Uncle Mike, Jussvon and JuliooSVN

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a singer/Songwriter from Orlando Florida. I have done a lot of sync work for tv shows like Baddies on Zeus , food network, ESPN and many more.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
There’s a couple people really. From the early days of working with JulydaProducer and learning from legends in my city like Rob Campman. I was blessed to understand how to carry yourself as not only an artist but as a businessman. Then later learning from my big bro Viper how you should try to be involved in everything even if it’s not music related just get up and grind understand your value and how to use it

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Definitely it was during Covid I was under a record deal and it just felt like nothing was clicking at all between me and the label the guys on the team. I felt like I lost everything that made me as an artist because I couldn’t put up what they wanted. But we prevailed and now we’re on a new journey

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say loyalty matters the most to me. I’m way too emotional haha and when I feel like it gets weird or something isn’t being done about me in the right way it’s full crash out mode. But I keep really good energy around me from my brothers to anyone that works with me

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What false labels are you still carrying?
Rapper lol I hate the sound of it because it has nothing to do with who I am as an artist. I feel like and this is not disrespect to rap music I love rap but people instantly label you that when they see you make music and have no clue about your actual artistry it’s just one of those things
