Hidden Gems: Meet Dana Claire of The INKfluence

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Claire.

Hi Dana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been a storyteller at heart, though I never imagined I’d one day be a published author. My journey began with a love for crafting worlds readers could escape into – full of adventure, romance, and characters who feel like lifelong friends. But publishing my first series opened my eyes: being an author is about far more than writing. It’s about marketing, building a loyal readership, and nurturing a community. Drawing on my background in business and marketing, and the lessons I learned as an author myself, I envisioned a space that could help shoulder some of the challenges authors face. That vision became The INKfluence.

What started as me helping a few fellow authors has grown into a full fledged design and global printing agency dedicated to supporting authors everywhere. Today, we’ve managed record-breaking Kickstarter campaigns, designed special editions that readers treasure, expanded author IP into other categories thus providing additional revenue streams and built a community where authors feel empowered to focus on what they love most – writing.

For me, the journey has been about turning challenges into opportunities and always remembering why we tell stories in the first place: to connect.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any growing business, The INKfluence has faced its share of challenges, but I view them more as opportunities to learn and refine our approach. Establishing ourselves in a competitive industry meant being intentional about building trust and consistently delivering on our promises to authors. Finetuning processes, scaling our team, and managing the details of large campaigns took time, but those experiences have strengthened the company and positioned us to serve authors with even more creativity and impact.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The INKfluence is a special edition design and global printing company dedicated to transforming books into true collector’s pieces. We specialize in creating bespoke editions with premium features such as foil stamping, sprayed edges, custom endpapers, and dust jackets paired with global printing solutions that bring these visions to life.

What sets us apart is the way we combine world-class design with comprehensive services that support authors at every stage. Beyond special editions, we manage full Kickstarter campaigns from strategy and marketing to production and fulfillment, helping authors fund their creative projects and connect directly with their readers. We also design and produce custom branded merchandise and swag, giving authors an exciting way to expand their brand with everything from apparel and accessories to unique fandom collectibles.

Most recently, we launched INK Games Publishing, an imprint of The INKfluence. Guided by the tagline “Your Favorite Worlds, Reimagined for Play,” this new sector takes bestselling books and fan-favorite series beyond the page, transforming them into collectible games, puzzles, and immersive experiences. Whether it’s piecing together a puzzle inspired by a beloved couple or diving into a trope-filled card game, INK Games Publishing deepens the connection between fans and the stories they love.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how The INKfluence has grown into a trusted creative partner for authors worldwide while continuing to innovate for readers. Our mission is to celebrate stories in unforgettable ways because great books don’t end on the last page, they spark experiences that last far beyond it.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about Orlando:

The energy! Orlando has this amazing mix of creativity and excitement, you can feel it in the theme parks, the art scene, and even just walking around the city. There’s always something happening, and it makes you feel like you’re part of the magic.

What I like least about Orlando:

The humidity! My hair and I are constantly at war with it. But honestly, even that feels like part of Orlando’s personality so you just learn to embrace the frizz.
