We’re looking forward to introducing you to Alyssa Rose. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Alyssa, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A day in the life for me consists of a lot of dancing! Typically, I work in Entertainment at Universal Orlando Resort during the day. At night, I am either in rehearsals for a new show, performing in a show at a theatre or another venue or teaching at Studio K!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alyssa Rose! I am a dancer, singer and actor based in Orlando, FL. I am also a dance and fitness instructor and choreographer at Studio K! Currently, you may catch me in Young Frankenstein at Titusville Playhouse and at Universal Orlando Resort!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom was the one who always encouraged me in my artistic career path. She was very supportive and helpful when I told her I wanted to be in entertainment when I grew up. There were times where I would doubt myself as a kid and she was right there to tell me “don’t quit, you love to do this, so do it, you have what it takes”.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
My younger self was a very creative, energetic, curious, and determined individual. Throughout my teens, as the “age of adulting” came closer, I naturally became more worried about my desired career choices. I would go back and tell my younger self that everything would work out and to just enjoy the ride.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I believe my closest friends would say that my belief in God is most important. I try to live everyday with empathy, kindness, and share the love of Jesus through that. Especially in today’s world, simply put, we need love and empathy more than ever.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
I currently feel this way! In fact, I’m currently in a show where I am in fact tap dancing AT work, haha. I am so grateful I get to wake up everyday and do what I love. I never take it for granted and always express my gratitude.
