Hidden Gems: Meet Cibelle Targino of Sierra Orlando Furniture

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cibelle Targino.

Cibelle Targino

Hi Cibelle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
“I am an architect by training, specialized in interior design. Since childhood, I have always been fascinated by decoration and by creating spaces. I was born in Orlando, Florida, but moved to southern Brazil at a young age — a region well known for its strong furniture industry.

In 2020, I fulfilled the dream of returning to the United States with my family and chose to live once again in Orlando, the city where I was born. When I arrived, I realized there was a unique opportunity to introduce the American market to the concept of Brazilian furniture — a blend of craftsmanship, elegance, and warmth.

At first, everything was a learning process: understanding the local market and earning the trust of each client. Over time, through referrals and strong partnerships with architects and designers, the business began to grow organically.

Today, my work goes beyond selling pieces. I focus on creating complete and personalized solutions — helping clients imagine and build their dream spaces. I believe that what sets my story apart is precisely this: listening, curating carefully, and delivering not just furniture, but an experience of well-being, elegance, and comfort.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I moved back to Orlando in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, and honestly it was a scary time to start over. I had to reinvent myself — learning the local culture, understanding what clients were looking for, and building everything from scratch while the whole world was going through change.

At first, I naturally worked with people I knew, but my dream was always bigger: to introduce Brazilian design to the American market. Little by little, through trust, word of mouth, and partnerships with builders, realtors, and designers, things started to grow.

Looking back now, those challenges made me stronger and even more passionate about what I do. Today, I feel proud to be part of the American market, sharing the beauty of Brazilian craftsmanship and helping people create homes filled with elegance, comfort, and warmth

We’ve been impressed with Sierra Orlando Furniture, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our work is about bringing the best of Brazilian furniture to the United States — design, elegance, and warmth. More than just selling pieces, we help clients create homes with their own identity.

What makes Sierra unique is customization: every piece can be tailored in finishes, fabrics, and colors, turning each house into a one-of-a-kind project. That’s what excites us — seeing a space come to life with personality, where clients can truly see themselves reflected.

What we’re most proud of are the relationships we build. Many clients start with a sofa or a chair and then come back to transform their whole home with us. Our purpose is simple: to deliver well-being, sophistication, and comfort in every detail.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about Orlando are the lakes. The city has so many of them, and I find it beautiful and calming. For me, they make Orlando unique — a place where nature and city life come together in a really special way.

What I like least? I would say the fact that you really need a car for almost everything. It sometimes feels like our GPS is programmed so that everything is 25 or 30 minutes away! But honestly, that’s just part of life here, and the positives of Orlando far outweigh the challenges.
