My journey started with a deep passion for helping people create structure, stability, and growth in their personal and business finances. I was born in Colombia and came to the United States at a young age, raised by a strong single mother who taught me the value of perseverance and faith. Watching her provide for three children on her own showed me that no obstacle is too big when you have determination and purpose. That foundation shaped my character and inspired my commitment to help others build stability and opportunity for themselves and their families.
At 18, I became a manager under the guidance of an 85-year-old mentor named Robert, who taught me leadership, discipline, and service. He instilled in me the importance of integrity and treating every person with respect. Those lessons became the foundation of how I do business and how I lead others today.
Before launching Sempiternus Consulting Services, I spent years working in administrative, financial, and operational roles, gaining firsthand insight into how much small business owners struggle to balance their ideas with the practical side of running a company. As a young mother and entrepreneur, I faced my own challenges, from rebuilding credit to learning how to structure, fund, and scale a business from the ground up. Through that journey, I discovered that success is not about luck or timing, but about knowledge, systems, and consistency.
Today, Sempiternus Consulting Services specializes in helping individuals and entrepreneurs improve their credit, establish their businesses properly, and secure the funding they need to grow. We also guide clients in scaling strategically and developing digital visibility through branding and content creation because sustainable success requires both structure and exposure.
The name Sempiternus means “once it starts, it won’t have an end,” which reflects my belief in building lasting growth, generational wealth, and legacies that continue long after the first step is taken. Alongside the firm, I share financial education and business guidance online as Wealth Wizard Laura, helping people transform their mindset, master their money, and step into entrepreneurship with confidence.
What began as me helping a few people on the side has evolved into a nationwide firm and brand that empowers others to build freedom through knowledge and action. My mission is to show that no matter where you start or what challenges you face, you can create something extraordinary with faith, purpose, and persistence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. My journey has been filled with moments that tested my strength not only as a businesswoman but also as a woman and a mother. After giving birth, I faced serious health challenges that left me dealing with constant pain and physical limitations. What many people don’t see behind the scenes is the recovery process, the days when even getting out of bed hurt, and the moments I had to push through exhaustion just to keep going.
Motherhood changed everything. I had to rebuild myself while learning how to nurture another life. It wasn’t easy balancing sleepless nights, healing, and still showing up for my goals. There were times when I felt lost physically, mentally, and emotionally, but I refused to let pain define me. Instead, I used it as fuel to create something that would give me and my family stability, purpose, and freedom.
Along the way, I also faced personal challenges that forced me to find my voice again and rebuild my confidence. Through faith, growth, and patience, I learned that strength is not about never breaking down; it is about choosing to rise again every time you do. Those experiences gave me a deeper sense of empathy and purpose. They taught me that true success does not come from what looks perfect on the outside. It comes from the quiet resilience it takes to keep moving forward when everything feels heavy.
Every hardship became part of the foundation of who I am today. That is why I am passionate about helping others find structure, healing, and growth in their own lives. I know what it feels like to rebuild from the ground up, and I use that experience every day to remind others that no matter what they have been through, they can still create something extraordinary.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is going to work with my mother after school. She was a single mother raising three children, and watching her manage everything with patience and grace taught me lessons that would stay with me forever. She allowed me to explore, ask questions, and learn through experience. Being by her side showed me what resilience, discipline, and quiet strength really look like.
Those moments sparked my curiosity and independence. I started making and selling jewelry and was earning over five hundred dollars a month by the age of thirteen. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but that was where my love for business and problem-solving truly began. My mother never stopped me from dreaming or trying new things, and that freedom helped me believe that I was capable of creating my own opportunities.
Looking back, those experiences shaped the foundation of who I am today. They taught me that no matter where you start or how much you have, you can always build something meaningful with faith, focus, and determination.
