Back in 2014, my life was at a crossroads. I was in New York facing the kind of challenges that force you to look in the mirror and decide who you really want to become. I made a commitment to turn my life around — to focus on growth, integrity, and purpose.
By 2019, I had opened Well Kept Barbershop, a symbol of that transformation and the start of my entrepreneurial path. While cutting hair, I was surrounded by everyday people — workers, parents, small business owners — all talking about money, taxes, and trying to get ahead. I started realizing how little most people actually understood about their finances or how the tax system really worked.
That curiosity turned into passion. I studied, trained, and eventually became a certified tax professional. I launched Well Kept Taxes with the same mindset that built my barbershop: serve people with honesty, education, and excellence. What started as helping a few friends and clients quickly grew into a thriving firm trusted by thousands of taxpayers across the country.
Today, Well Kept Taxes isn’t just a tax firm — it’s a brand built on transparency, mentorship, and opportunity. We help clients file confidently, educate aspiring tax professionals through our Prepfinity Mentorship Program, and even provide the tools and software they need to launch their own firms. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth ride. When I first stepped into the tax industry, I quickly realized not everyone operated with integrity. I dealt with unethical partners and situations that tested my patience and my values. Those early experiences taught me hard lessons — but they also pushed me to learn the business from the ground up, by myself.
I spent countless nights studying tax law, mastering the systems, and figuring out how to build something honest and sustainable. That’s how Well Kept Taxes was born — built on integrity, education, and trust.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Orlando will always hold a special place in my heart. I lived here as a teenager, from age 14 to 17, and it’s where a lot of my story began. It’s where I picked up the clippers and started my barber career, where I learned how to drive, and where I learned how to be independent.
Back then, living in a big city taught me a lot — some lessons the hard way. The fast pace and distractions brought their share of problems, and I knew I didn’t want that environment for my children. But deep down, I always knew I’d come back one day, on better terms and with a new mindset.
In 2022, I made that happen. What I love most about Orlando now is the balance — the beautiful nature, the weather, and that suburban calm that still keeps you close to the city. It feels like the perfect place to raise a family and continue building my businesses with peace, purpose, and opportunity
