Hi Jacob, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started as an entrepreneur launching a digital marketing business out of a bedroom in 2012. Once I understood the power of the internet, and how to get leads for businesses, I realized I could start and buy more companies and garner business.
I still have this agency today and it helps me power my businesses (along with all the wonderful clients we serve).
In 2023, I purchased Florida Event Decor. This business appealed to me because I have a different event business that operates in New York, and I saw a chance to use my experience to grow this company. I also saw how much my digital marketing agency could help this business which gives us an advantage for obtaining growth.
It’s been a little over two years working and growing Florida Event Decor, and we are very excited for the upcoming chapters ahead. We acquired Chic Event Furniture over the summer of 2025 in order to expand our furniture inventory and to stronger position ourselves in the industry.
After a few years of laying the foundation, we are ready to grow over the next few years!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s usually never “smooth” in business. It’s almost always a rollercoaster in many ways. There have been good moments, and there have been tough moments.
Getting the right people into the company, and creating the right processes for growth takes time. This naturally brings challenges, and Florida Event Decor is no exception.
With that said, we feel we have mostly gotten over the larger early hurdles, and while there will still be things that come up, we feel much more prepared for them.
As you know, we’re big fans of Florida Event Decor. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a corporate event decor company serving all of Florida (and sometimes beyond). We specialize in custom fabrication and have a large inventory of different items for our clients to choose from.
We have also been building more custom trade show booths as of late, and with our acquisition of Chic Event Furniture, we are renting more furniture than ever.
There are not many companies that can build large, beautiful, extravagant custom items from scratch, and do it well—but we can. This makes us unique to many other event decor companies.
We also have a really fun and positive culture. Our brand is one of creativity and fun, but also professionalism and customer service.
In the years ahead, we are excited to continue building the coolest, and most attractive custom built items for all our amazing clients!
Any big plans?
Our plan is to continue expanding—likely outside of Florida. This will come by organic growth, and additional acquisitions.
