Kandie Angel shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Kandie, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Right now a normal day for me is pretty much nonstop from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. I dive straight into work—whether that’s livestreaming, creating content, answering emails, or managing my shop and digital projects. My days are packed with planning, editing, and engaging with my audience, so I rarely get much downtime. Even meals are usually quick because I don’t often have the time to cook. It’s definitely a grind, but I love what I do and I’m motivated by the bigger vision I’m building for myself.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kandie, and I’m a full-time content creator, entrepreneur, and brand builder. I’ve built my platform around authenticity, creativity, and connection—sharing both the highs and the challenges of my journey. My work blends livestreaming, digital products, lifestyle content, and community building, all with the goal of inspiring people to embrace who they are and chase their own vision. What makes my brand unique is the raw honesty I bring into everything I do—I don’t just share polished results, I share the process, the growth, and the real-life lessons along the way. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my digital products, growing my community, and continuing to turn my passion into something that makes an impact.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My grandma taught me the most about work. She had a kind of stubbornness that I’ve come to see as strength—no matter how hard things got, she always pushed through and never gave up. Watching her handle challenges with determination and grace taught me the value of resilience, consistency, and self-belief. She showed me that hard work isn’t just about what you do, but about how you carry yourself through the toughest moments. That mindset has stuck with me in everything I do today.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been a few times, honestly. Life has tested me in ways I never expected — moments where everything I’d built started falling apart all at once. I’ve been through heartbreak, loss, and having to start completely over when I had nothing left but my determination. There were days I wanted to just stop trying, when it felt like no matter how hard I worked, nothing was moving forward.
But even in those moments, something deep inside me wouldn’t let me quit. I’d remind myself that I’ve already survived worse — that giving up wouldn’t make the pain stop, it would just erase everything I’ve fought for. So instead, I learned to let the struggle shape me, not destroy me. Every setback became fuel, every low point became a reason to rise again. That’s what keeps me going — knowing my story isn’t over yet, and maybe what I’ve been through can help someone else keep fighting too.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is real — it’s just not all of me. What people see online is genuine, but it’s only the part of my life I have the energy to share. I don’t fake anything, but I also don’t always show the moments when I’m completely drained, overwhelmed, or questioning everything.
I’ve learned that being real doesn’t mean exposing every part of your life; it means showing up as yourself even when things aren’t perfect. I’m still the same person off camera — the difference is that behind the scenes, I’m usually working nonstop, pushing through self-doubt, and figuring things out as I go. The energy, the humor, the drive — that’s all me. But so is the quiet part that keeps fighting to stay grounded while chasing something bigger.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m finally doing what I was born to do. For a long time, I tried to fit into what other people expected — what looked “right,” what seemed stable, what would make everyone else comfortable. But none of it ever felt like me. I’ve always had this fire inside, this creative energy and voice that didn’t fit into anyone else’s version of success.
Now, everything I do — my work, my content, my brand — comes from a place of freedom. I built something that lets me express who I really am, without needing approval or permission. It’s not the easy path, but it’s the honest one. I’ve learned that you can’t truly be fulfilled doing what you’re told to do — you find peace when you finally trust yourself enough to do what you were born to do. That’s where I am now.
