Today we’d like to introduce you to Svetlana Khashchuk.
Hi Svetlana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Svetlana Khashchuk, I was born in Ukraine. My family moved to the United States in 1989 when I was 4 years old. I lived in Spokane, Washington with my loving husband and four beautiful children, then on July 4th of 2021 we moved to historic Mount Dora, Florida.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been interested in the makeup and beauty industry. I have always loved researching quality products and ingredients. After ten years of experience working as a Makeup Artist, I decided I wanted to grow and learn more about the industry. This encouraged me, in 2014, to become a licensed Esthetician, Certified Eyelash Extensions Technician, and Permanent Makeup Artist.
I am passionate about helping others feel and look their best, and it shows in how I expertly deliver services with knowledge and professionalism. In 2019 my salon was awarded Best Beauty Salon of the Year. Clients have noted my warm demeanor and how I create a comfortable environment for all! I believe whole heartedly in the value of service to others, and make every client feel special. Above all, I think it’s extremely important to only offer products that are high in quality with lasting results!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
At one point, I decided to expand and opened a larger spa. I expanded to offer more spa services including hair, nails, tanning, spray tans, and more Esthetics services. That was very stressful. I practically lived at the spa. Dealing with employees was even more stressful so I ended up getting rid of that and working by myself once again.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in permanent cosmetics, eyelash extensions, and facial treatments. I am a brow expert. Most of my clientele are for brows. I started out with makeup artistry and expanded to permanent cosmetics over time. It was definitely more of a challenge which I loved and that’s what drives me. I’m not afraid of a challenge. I have over 15 years experience in permanent makeup and over 20 in the beauty industry.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Besides my natural talent in having an eye for beauty enhancement, I believe a good characteristic is prividing a warm, comfortable environment for clients as it can be nerve wracking to get permanent makeup.
