Today we’d like to introduce you to Tommy Gaston.
Hi Tommy , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I used to do architectural metal work for a living but decided I wanted to work for myself and try something completely different.
When you’re a kid, you don’t ever think that people will refer to you as “the stump guy” but life has a funny way of going directions you don’t see coming.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it was a smooth road, small and Owner operated businesses generally have an uphill battle. I’ve learned that you need to surround yourself with good people, stay honest and do the job the correct way and try to have the best customer communication you can. The rest will sort itself out.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
“ If it can be done we are more than likely the guys that can do it.” I like being able to say that and mean it. Very small stump grinders for tight access areas and also some of the biggest grinders on the market for the bigger jobs or gigantic stumps that we run into here in Florida.
