Today we’d like to introduce you to Inza Ford.
Inza, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Absolutely! My journey has been anything but traditional. Before stepping fully into the beauty industry, I spent 19 years building a corporate career in insurance, specializing in underwriting, training, and instructional design. I loved coaching and empowering professionals, but I always had this creative passion for beauty on the side.
On my 19-year work anniversary, I was laid off. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I chose to look at it as a divine nudge to pursue what I’d been called to do all along. That was the turning point that led me to create Inza Ford Makeup & Beauty.
What started as doing makeup services has now grown into something so much bigger, from my signature Makeup & Mimosas Sip & Learn Glaminars, where I teach everyday women how to master their own beauty routines, to vending at conferences, and creating my own curated line of cosmetics. I’m passionate about teaching women that beauty is not just about the makeup, it’s about confidence, self-love, and walking boldly in who you are.
Today, my brand is rooted in inclusivity, education, and empowerment. Whether I’m helping a bride feel beautiful on her wedding day, teaching a group of women how to perfect their everyday glam, or mentoring through my nonprofit work, it all ties back to my mission: helping women feel celebrated, seen, and unstoppable.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. When I transitioned from a 19-year corporate career into full-time beauty, I had to completely shift my mindset. In the corporate world, I was used to stability, a steady paycheck, and clear structure. As a business owner, I had to learn how to create that structure for myself while also taking on the uncertainty of entrepreneurship.
One of the biggest struggles was a lack of confidence. After being laid off, I questioned whether I was really equipped to build something new. I had to remind myself that all the skills Ive gained throughout the years, through training, development, and coaching, were transferable and could empower women in a completely different way. My faith in God grew tremendously because I knew this was going to be a faith walk to pursue what was given to me.
Another challenge has been balance. Building a brand while also serving in leadership roles within my community and pursuing further education can feel overwhelming at times. But I’ve learned to lean into faith, give myself grace, and surround myself with people who genuinely support me.
The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. Every obstacle has pushed me to grow, pivot, and operate at a higher level. Those lessons have become the foundation of my business and my purpose.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional makeup artist, educator, and founder of Inza Ford Makeup & Beauty. My work goes beyond makeup application. I specialize in teaching women how to embrace their beauty with confidence and ease. Through my signature Makeup & Mimosas Sip & Learn Glaminars, I create a fun, hands-on environment where women can learn everyday techniques like skin prep, brow shaping, foundation matching, blending, and perfecting a lip all while enjoying brunch and bubbly with community.
I’m also proud to have launched my own curated cosmetic line, which includes matte liquid lipsticks, lipglosses, brow pencils, and lip liners. Every product is chosen with intention to be high-quality, inclusive, and easy to use, whether you’re a beginner or a beauty lover. In the long term, I envision expanding the line to include additional cosmetic staples and eventually skincare products. I believe skincare is the foundation of beauty, so offering products that support healthy, glowing skin is a natural evolution for the brand’s future.
What sets me apart is my heart for education and empowerment. I don’t just want women to look beautiful when I’m done with their makeup; I want them to feel confident in doing it themselves. My background in training and development has allowed me to merge my love for beauty with my gift of teaching, creating an experience that feels personal, approachable, and unforgettable.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the community that has grown around my work. Seeing women leave my classes feeling seen, celebrated, and unstoppable is the ultimate reward. Beauty, to me, is about more than glamour; it’s about transformation, confidence, and reminding women that they are enough.
