Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon M. Jones.
Hi Sharon M., we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins with adoption—an act of love that placed me in the care of two extraordinary people whose lives were steeped in faith and service. My parents lived in England before traveling the world, eventually settling in the United States where they planted churches and later became missionaries. Their journey was one of obedience, sacrifice, and deep compassion for people across cultures and continents.
My father, a Bishop and pastor, became my first mentor. His wisdom, humility, and unwavering belief in the power of prayer shaped my understanding of leadership and spiritual care. My mother, a nurse, modeled healing through quiet strength and gentle presence. Together, they taught me that ministry is not just what you preach—it’s how you live.
I also carry the legacy of my great-grandmother, a beacon in her community known for her wisdom and generosity, and my grandparents, who were pastors and community builders with a deep passion for people. Their lives planted seeds in me—a desire to walk with the hurting, to restore what’s been broken, and to keep hope alive.
But my journey hasn’t been without pain. I’ve experienced my share of trauma—wounds that deepened my empathy, strengthened my faith, and fueled my commitment to emotional safety and healing. Those experiences became the foundation for my calling.
I pursued a rigorous and spiritually grounded path of preparation. I simultaneously earned two Master’s degrees—one in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, and the other in Forensic Psychology—while also completing a certification in Pastoral Counseling. Later, I earned my credential as a Certified Professional Life Coach, equipping me with trauma-informed strategies to guide individuals and families toward purpose and transformation. Most recently, I completed my PhD in Social Justice, deepening my commitment to advocacy, equity, and generational restoration.
My passion remains rooted in serving disadvantaged populations—especially children, youth, and women navigating trauma, identity, and the daily struggle to balance life in healthy, hope-filled ways. I believe faith is the lifeline that keeps hope alive, and I strive to create emotionally safe spaces where healing is not only possible, but sacred.
Today, I serve as a Christian Counselor, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and Certified Professional Life Coach in private practice. My approach is faith-rooted, emotionally safe, and legacy-minded—designed to nurture spiritual growth, relational restoration, and lasting transformation. Whether I’m guiding couples through reconciliation, coaching individuals toward purpose, or designing healing frameworks for youth and families, I remain committed to walking with others in grace, truth, and hope.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Was it a smooth road? Not even close.
My path has been marked by both purpose and pain. I am a trauma survivor—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Along the way, I’ve faced stage 2 colon cancer, spinal surgery, and esophageal surgery. I’ve endured the heartbreak of miscarriage. I’ve lost a home. I’ve lost a business. And I’ve had to rebuild more than once, from the ground up.
Each struggle left its mark, but none defined me. They refined me.
Through every valley, faith was my anchor. It was the lifeline that kept hope alive when everything else felt shattered. I learned to lean into grace, to listen for God’s whisper in the silence, and to trust that restoration was still possible.
These experiences didn’t just shape my calling—they deepened it. They gave me the empathy to sit with others in their pain, the wisdom to guide them toward healing, and the resilience to keep showing up with compassion and truth.
So no, it wasn’t a smooth road. But it was sacred. And every scar became part of the map that led me here.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create healing spaces—through words, music, ministry, and entrepreneurial vision. My work is rooted in emotional safety, spiritual restoration, and practical transformation. As a trauma-informed coach, Christian counselor, ordained minister, and licensed evangelist, I walk with individuals, couples, and families through some of life’s most complex and painful seasons. Whether someone is navigating grief, trauma, identity, or transition, I meet them with compassion, clarity, and faith.
My calling unfolds across multiple channels. As a published author, I write nonfiction and self-help books that blend faith, psychology, and lived experience. My narratives are immersive and sensory-rich, designed to help readers feel seen, understood, and empowered. I write to restore—to offer language for pain and pathways to healing.
As a Christian recording artist, my music is a ministry in itself. Each song is crafted to comfort, uplift, and speak life into broken places. I sing to remind people that hope is still alive, even in the valley.
In ministry, I serve as an ordained minister with the Church of God and a licensed evangelist with the Church of God in Christ. I bring biblical truth and prophetic insight to diverse communities, always centering emotional safety and spiritual growth. My approach is gentle yet bold—grounded in Scripture, guided by grace.
In private practice, I offer trauma-informed, faith-rooted care as a Christian Counselor and Certified Professional Life Coach. I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, rebuild identity, and move forward with purpose. My coaching programs blend spiritual insight with practical tools, empowering people to thrive in every area of life.
As an entrepreneur and visionary, I build scalable ecosystems—apps, courses, nonprofits, and coaching suites—that make healing accessible across generations and geographies. I design systems that protect intellectual property, honor legacy, and expand impact. Every platform I build is crafted with intention: to serve, to uplift, and to restore.
I specialize in trauma-informed care rooted in faith, generational healing, and legacy-building for families, youth, and women. I design curriculum for ministry, parenting, and personal development. I create emotionally safe vocal training tools for choirs and youth teams. And I build strategic frameworks for copyright, trademark, and digital product protection—ensuring that healing work is both sustainable and secure.
I’m known for creating emotionally safe, faith-rooted resources that resonate deeply. My writing carries narrative depth, spiritual clarity, and practical wisdom. I empower disadvantaged populations—especially children, youth, and women—who are navigating trauma and life’s complexities. I build multi-channel healing ecosystems that scale globally, and I model humility, shared identity, and collaborative leadership in everything I do.
What I’m most proud of is surviving and rising through trauma, cancer, surgeries, miscarriage, and loss—and still choosing to serve. I honor my family’s legacy of ministry, healing, and global service. I’ve built platforms that make healing sacred and accessible. I’ve written books and songs that speak life into broken places. And I’ve equipped others to lead with grace, truth, and emotional safety.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just teach healing—I embody it. I integrate clinical insight, spiritual depth, and lived experience with precision and grace. I speak to both the soul and the strategy, offering comfort and clarity. I build systems that last. And I walk with others, not above them—modeling shared identity, humility, and hope.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe risk is sacred when it’s rooted in purpose. It’s not recklessness—it’s obedience. For me, taking risks has never been about chasing success. It’s been about answering the call, even when the path ahead was unclear, uncomfortable, or costly.
Some of the greatest risks I’ve taken didn’t come with applause—they came with loss. I’ve stepped out in faith to launch businesses, ministries, and healing platforms, only to watch some of them collapse. I’ve risked vulnerability by sharing my story—trauma, miscarriage, surgeries, cancer, and grief—knowing it might be misunderstood, but trusting it would reach someone who needed it. I’ve risked starting over after losing a home, a business, and parts of my health. I’ve risked building again when the world said it was too late.
I’ve also taken creative risks—publishing books that speak to the soul, recording music that ministers to the brokenhearted, and designing trauma-informed resources that challenge traditional models of care. I’ve risked being different, being bold, being deeply rooted in faith when others chose safer ground.
What do I think about taking risks? I think it’s necessary. Especially when you’re called to heal, to lead, to build legacy. Risk is the soil where faith grows. It’s where obedience meets opportunity. It’s where you learn what you’re made of—and more importantly, who God is in the midst of it.
I don’t take risks for attention. I take them because I believe in restoration. I believe in building what doesn’t yet exist. I believe in walking with others through the fire, not just talking about it from a distance. And I believe that every risk I’ve taken—whether it led to breakthrough or heartbreak—has been part of the sacred journey I was born to walk.
