Life & Work with Glorines Pardo-Garcia of Orlando, Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Glorines Pardo-Garcia.

Hi Glorines, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
**My Story**

I began my career during the 2007 real estate market crash, while working in real estate in Puerto Rico. Recognizing the need to expand my opportunities, I obtained my insurance license and was soon hired by one of the most prestigious insurance companies on the island, specializing in Medicare.

At that time, I was a single mother raising three children. My work took me into the homes of seniors living in rural communities, where I educated them about their Medicare and health insurance options. What began as a job quickly became a deep passion—helping people gain peace of mind by understanding and securing the coverage they depend on.

In 2009, I relocated to Florida in search of a better future for my children and me. The transition was not easy. I started over with no connections, working in retail and customer service while rebuilding my career. In 2014, I re-entered the insurance industry as an auto insurance agent, which opened the door for me to return to my true purpose—serving my community, especially Medicare recipients.

In 2017, I joined a leading insurance company in Florida where I received advanced training in Medicare. Two years later, I realized that to better serve my clients, I needed the freedom to offer multiple options instead of being limited to one carrier. This led me to become an independent broker.

In 2020, I founded **Insurance Solutions & More, LLC**, a bilingual, woman-owned agency built on education, trust, and advocacy. Today, my team and I serve hundreds of clients across Florida, many of them Medicare beneficiaries, providing personalized guidance so they can make informed decisions with confidence.

To me, this is more than a career—it is a mission to protect families, strengthen communities, and ensure that everyone has access to coverage they understand and can rely on.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all—my journey has been filled with challenges, but each one has shaped who I am today.

When I moved from Puerto Rico to Florida in 2009, I was rebuilding my life as a single mother of three. Despite having insurance experience, I had no professional network, no referrals, and no community presence in Florida. For a period, I had to step away from the industry and work in retail and customer service just to support my family while I worked toward returning to insurance.

Once I re-entered the field, another challenge was credibility. In the early days, I had to knock on doors, attend local community events, and offer free educational Medicare workshops just to gain trust. Many prospects questioned me simply because they didn’t know me yet. I remember hosting a seminar and only one person showed up—but I still delivered the presentation with the same dedication as if the room were full. That one attendee later became a client who referred several others.

Another struggle was breaking into the Medicare space in Florida, a highly competitive market. When I became an independent broker, I had to learn new systems, navigate multiple carriers, understand different compliance standards, and build processes from scratch—all without a large team or financial backing.

And when I launched Insurance Solutions & More in 2020, it was during a global pandemic. Opening a new business when many were closing theirs meant rethinking everything—moving appointments to phone calls, educating seniors remotely, and finding new ways to reach a community that relied heavily on in-person interaction.

Despite these obstacles, each challenge strengthened my resilience, deepened my commitment to service, and reminded me why I do this work—to educate, advocate, and bring peace of mind to families when it matters most.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Florida-licensed insurance broker and founder of Insurance Solutions & More, LLC. I specialize in Medicare, health, and life insurance, with a focus on educating and guiding seniors and underserved families to make informed decisions with confidence.

One of the parts of our work I’m most proud of goes beyond insurance—we are proud partners with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), which allows us to help our community at no cost apply for essential federal assistance programs such as Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs, Extra Help for prescriptions, SNAP/food benefits, and more. For many families, we are more than insurance advisors—we are a resource and an advocate.

What sets us apart is our commitment to education, integrity, bilingual service, and personalized care. We don’t just enroll clients in plans—we walk alongside them, ensuring they understand and receive the benefits they deserve.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that purpose must come before profit and people must come before policies.

Early in my career, I realized that insurance isn’t just about enrollment—it’s about impact. Policies change, companies change, but the trust you build with people can last a lifetime. When clients feel genuinely cared for, understood, and educated, they don’t just become customers—they become part of your mission, your community, and even your growth.

Another key lesson has been that resilience is not optional in entrepreneurship. Starting over in a new state, rebuilding my career, facing uncertainty, and launching a business during a pandemic taught me that challenges don’t come to stop you—they come to shape you.

Most importantly, I’ve learned that service is the foundation of success. When you lead with empathy, integrity, and the heart to help, the rest naturally follows.
