Hi Rachel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is interesting as it begins with my career ending in corporate banking which leads me to enroll into the creative world of beauty. Enrolling into Paul Mitchell the School Orlando in 2010 was the turning point in my life where I was able to grow my future career. Dabbling in hair, nails and makeup applications I was trying to find my passion within the industry. Growing up a Tom Boy, hair styling was minimal for me. But joining a new industry, I was determined to find my niche. Right out of beauty school I accepted a job at a prestigious salon in Winter Park. Before gaining my license I worked as Receptionist at Bonnevie salon. Little did I realize then how important that roll would be for me later in my careers. After a year I found my passion and it was eyelash extensions. Fine tuning my skills and traveling to my lash distributor in Chicago several times, I was able to perfect my skills in eyelash corrective work. 8 years working commission at Bonnevie and building my book- I decided to go out on my own. A new salon was being built by a team of young women needing a retreat from the chaos of working at others locations. My hard work over those two years built me into the business owner I am today. In just 2 years- in 2019 I decided it was in my best interest to leave Catalyst and build my own space with my husband who preforms Permanent makeup and paramedical tattoos. The Glamour Inn- A Speak Easy Spa was born. Little did did we know upon opening our doors in March 2020 after a 6 week build out- the Covid 19 pandemic began and forced up to close out doors after only 2 weeks of opening. We didn’t know what the future would hold after 6 weeks of closure but Thankfully we survived and we’re able to regrow our business together. We are so thankful and excited to continue to support our team, clients, community and other businesses.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I love the reaction of the people who see their eyelash extensions for the first time. Being triple certified in eyelash extensions has been so rewarding when I’m able to be a ‘day-maker’ so women wake up feeling beautiful.
What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
I have recently opened the door for professional eyelash extension training. The Advanced Eyelash Tech Academy is an excellent resource for beginners and experienced eyelash specialists who have a need for polishing and perfecting their eyelash corrective work and design. Angel (my husband) & PMU specialist, plans to expand and branch out his expertise to Medspas needing paramedical tattoos for breast cancer patients and scar camouflage.
