Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Kincie Farnell-Williams of Orlando

We recently had the chance to connect with Kincie Farnell-Williams and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kincie, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Meditation and prayer ✅ Next up: shower therapy 🚿 Then it’s “good morning” to my son and husband. I’m not fully awake until I’ve had that morning shower… it just hits different! ☀️🙏🏾💦

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Certified Therapist through the Florida Certification Board, specializing in addiction, mental health, spiritual wellness, and behavioral recovery. I hold degrees in Psychology from the University of Arizona and Law from Trinity Law School.

As both a Mental Health and Addiction Professional and an Evangelist, I provide individual and group therapy while speaking at recovery events, treatment centers, universities, ministries, and faith-based organizations.

What many people don’t know is that I spent 27 years of my life studying classical music. As a trained opera singer from Palm Beach Atlantic University, where I studied under Grammy Award-winning soprano Marilyn Mims, I later moved to California to collaborate with musicians at Hilltop Records as a songwriter.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with God has shaped every part of who I am. It grounded my healing, guided my calling, and continues to refine my character through every season. I grew up in a little Florida town called Fort Pierce, where weekends meant fishing trips with my dad and sewing sessions with my mom. They were both all-in parents, and I loved every minute of it. I’ve got two brother… so yes, I’m the only girl and proudly held my own! 🎣🧵☀️

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me to depend on God in ways success never could. It stripped away pride and self-reliance, showing me that purpose is often birthed in pain. I know this firsthand; I once slept in my car while homeless in California pregnant, but even there, God was shaping my strength and my faith. So trust me, I know the difference between humility and false humility. ✨🙏🏾

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies our industry tells itself is that clinical treatment alone heals people. If prescription medication worked you wouldn’t keep refilling it. I do believe some people need medication but it’s when you don’t add faith and become addicted.
True recovery happens when you invite God into the process addressing not just the flesh, triggers, negative behaviors, mindset, and symptoms, but the heart, mind and spirit too. 🙏🏾

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. Because I’ve learned my reward doesn’t come from people; it comes from God. When the fans stop cheering and the applause fades away, my calling to Christ will always remain acts of worship, not performance. Through it all, my new marriage to my husband, Gregory M. Williams, my son, and love remind me what truly matters in this season.
I’ve performed on many stages before, but stepping into my calling as an Evangelist is different. It’s not just a stage; it’s the Bible, “The Gospel of Christ.” Every word I speak, every testimony I share, is not for applause but for the glory of God.
‘Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.’ — Colossians 3:23
When you minister from the Word, your performance is measured not by the crowd’s reaction but by obedience to God’s calling. ❤️🙏🏾
