Exploring Life & Business with Yaleeza Delvalle of Yaya’s Bloom Floristry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yaleeza Delvalle.

Hi Yaleeza, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
“Yaya’s Bloom Floristry began in 2021, and honestly, it started in the most humble way. That Mother’s Day, I didn’t have enough money to order bouquets for my mom and mother-in-law, so I picked up store-bought flowers and arranged them myself. I thought I was simply improvising, but in the process, I discovered how much joy and peace I found in creating floral designs. That moment changed everything for me.

Over the next few years, I dedicated myself to learning as much as I could about floristry and the business behind it. I started small—hosting pop-up shops on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, offering retail arrangements, and slowly building a reputation. All of that eventually led me into weddings and events. Today, we’re incredibly proud to have completed more than 125 weddings in such a short time. Being part of someone’s most meaningful day is a privilege I don’t take lightly. I always remind myself that decades from now, their children or grandchildren may look back at those photos, and our flowers will be part of that memory.”

As for the future, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve secured a location at 1214 Kuhl Avenue in Orlando’s Downtown Medical District. There, we’ll be partnering with Juicy Leo’s to create a brand new café and deli called La Casita Café, which will also feature a flower and gift shop. We aspire to create a home away from home that creates comfort among the sterile surroundings of the hospitals. We’re so excited to expand within the community and to continue offering families meaningful ways to express love, support, and connection to one another.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Growth within the floral industry hasn’t always been easy. The work can be incredibly labor-intensive, and because we’re part of some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives, it can also be highly emotional. The hours are long, the pressure is real, and every detail matters. But despite all of that, the fulfillment we get from serving our community and the families who trust us far outweighs any of the challenges. Knowing that our work becomes part of their memories makes every struggle worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Yaya’s Bloom Floristry, we take great pride in offering bespoke, high-end luxury florals for couples while also providing more affordable options so we can meet a wide range of needs. Right now, our primary focus is weddings and events, but by early 2026, when we open our new location at 1214 Kuhl Avenue, we’ll be expanding our reach in a meaningful way. We’re excited to serve the surrounding hospitals, clinics, and the SODO District with get-well florals, gifts, a coffee and deli space, and more. Our goal is to continue expanding the comfort, beauty, and connection we bring to the community.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Along the journey of building Yaya’s Bloom Floristry, I’ve learned that I am far more capable than I ever realized. This work has stretched me, strengthened me, and shown me that I can play a meaningful role in the union of families. As a Christian, that has been especially close to my heart. Knowing that I can contribute to moments filled with love, faith, and connection has been one of the greatest blessings of this entire experience. Creating beauty for others has made me feel more loving, more capable, and truly happier than ever.
