Hana Bertram shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hana, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Honestly? I’m most proud of the love, consistency, and communication I’m building with my daughter. It’s not loud, it’s not flashy — but it’s everything.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Hana — a creative storyteller, marketer, and multi-passionate artist. I bring ideas to life through branding, design, and content that connects. I love helping small businesses and schools show the heart behind what they do. Whether I’m behind the camera, building campaigns, or teaching young artists, my mission is always the same: create work that inspires confidence and community. Right now, I’m growing my own marketing brand and continuing to explore new ways to blend creativity and purpose.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I grew up believing I had to stay small and silent about what I felt. I expressed myself through art and pages of my journal — and that creativity saved me. But today, I’m not just writing it down — I’m speaking up. My voice matters.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes. Gen, a friend from high school who returned to my life right when I needed someone who sees me. She listens with her heart, understands the unspoken parts of me, and reminds me what genuine friendship feels like. I cherish that deeply.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the version of me you see is real but it’s not everything. I’m a layered person with a lot going on beneath the surface. I’m strong and soft, ambitious and grounded, creative and constantly evolving. I choose what I want to show, but there’s so much more to me than what’s public. There’s the mom, the artist, the woman who’s still growing and figuring things out. I’m not meant to fit into one box and that’s the beauty of who I am.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m in bed with my comfort show on, a good snack, and my daughter nearby doing her own thing. Just us, together, comfortable and happy in our shared space.
