Check Out Flowergirl Greenhouse’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Flowergirl Greenhouse.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Flower Girl began as a response to burnout — not just our own, but what we saw reflected in customers, teams, and communities.

After years of operating fast-paced retail businesses, we became more interested in what helps people slow down rather than speed up. Flower Girl grew from that question.

Today, it’s a brand centered on calm, recovery, and long-term well-being — built intentionally, shaped by experience, and focused on creating sustainable habits rather than chasing trends.

We paid attention to patterns, routines, and how small details affected how people felt. That early sensitivity shaped how we approach life and work today — with patience, intention, and a focus on long-term balance.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We are in Florida, where there are rarely
smooth roads for long. The introduction of tariffs has definitely changed our product selection, as prices go higher everday. The back and forth of legality of THC related materials has also been interesting to follow.

That being said, we see everything as a challenge to spin into the positive! While a loss of product can be seen negatively, we see it as more room for activities! The longer we build connections with the lovely neighborhood, the more we want to shift into a “third space” rather than a stop and go shop. Hosting yoga classes, djs, games nights, etc.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Alex (Store Manager): Overall id say what sets me apart from others is my wide field of experience. Ive lived all over (Miami, Toronto, Houston, Calagry) exposing me to different social economic lifestyles. I aimed to be a jack of all trades (bread maker, yoga instructor, electrician, cannabis expert) to learn about as many facets of this life as possible. In my hedonistic travels, happiness and contentment have always been the goal.

It seems Flowergirl is what I was training up for. Putting smiles on faces is what I specialize in and most proud of, and this space gives me that avenue perfectly. I can remember being radicalized into positivity by one person, I hope to be that person for others.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
From a store perspective the biggest challenge has been resisting the pressure to grow fast. In an industry that rewards speed and intensity, choosing to move intentionally requires discipline. With Flower Girl, the goal has been to create a space that supports well-being while remaining commercially grounded.

So while there are always risks, we find approaching it from that grounded place and led us well without much fear.
