Today we’d like to introduce you to Dulce Pacifici.
Hi Dulce, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I fell in love with the art of photography when I was in High School. I took a film photography class. I developed my images in the darkroom of my school. I learned my settings by memory and was taught how to tell a story through my photos. I won two keys for the Scholastic’s Photo Awards for my work. Then I went to Southeastern University were I received a photography scholarship and worked with the University’s magazine. My work was published in the magazine and printed and framed on the school hallways. It was a very fun time, I learned a lot and grew exponentially in my digital photography experience. Slowly I started to branch into engagement photoshoots and then I photographed weddings which I fell in love with. I have over 10 years of experience in photography and capturing all sort of settings, people, milestones, and events.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Photography is such a unique art form in the sense that you can never run out things to capture. Pictures are timeless, they hold emotions, moments, loved ones, nature, all frozen in time. You are able to experience the gift of that moment by viewing it once again. What is even more incredible is how an image can move someone completely detached from that memory, they can be brought to tears, joy, laughter, and even anger. I would say that what was once a challenge telling a story through images is now my strength as an experienced photographer. I have grown a lot in my composition, my editing style and continue to learn with new equipment and by viewing other incredible photographers work.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m a professional wedding & portrait photographer based in North Central Florida, serving across Orlando, Tampa, Lakeland, Jacksonville, and my hometown of Ocala. Photography is my way of encapsulating stories for generations, one gallery at a time. From family portraits to full wedding collections, I strive to create images that are both timeless and personal. By taking time to understand your vision, I help bring your photo dreams to life. What makes my business stand out from other photographers is that I seek to go above and beyond with my services. It’s not just capturing the moments but from our first phone call to the last email with your full gallery, it is an experience of excellence, made with lots of love and care. I specialize in photographing weddings, engagements, family portraits, and lifestyle photography.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Mr. Camay was my high school photography teacher. He was incredible and helped ignite the passion I know have for photography. My mother was a huge supporter and helped me buy my first digital camera. My husband has always been so supportive, he deserves so much credit for buying my first DSLR and believing in me to start my own photo business. At Southeastern University my school magazine teammates and mentors were huge in my growth as a photo-journalist. I am extremely thankful for everyone that has played a major or small role in my journey as a photographer.
