Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Lancaster.
Hi Allison, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2015, my son was born and spent two weeks in the NICU. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life, and when we finally brought him home, I had a decision to make: go back to a traditional job or build something that let me be present for my family.
I started a blog as a creative outlet and fell in love with digital marketing almost immediately. My writing got picked up by the Huffington Post and featured on Scary Mommy and TODAY Parents. I also started writing about one of our family’s biggest passions: Disney World. We visit often, and over the years that’s grown into featuring local Orlando businesses and destinations on my blog. It’s become a fun way to combine my love for travel, family adventures, and supporting small businesses all in one place.
The real shift in my business happened in early 2016, just a few months after starting my blog, when business owners started reaching out, asking for help growing their online presence. That’s when it clicked. I could turn what I was doing into something bigger.
Fast forward to today, and I’ve built a boutique marketing company serving small business owners in the Tri-Cities, TN area and around the world. Because of my connection to Central Florida, I also work with a lot of Orlando and Florida-based business owners, which has been such a natural fit. My team and I focus on real relationships and real results. We help entrepreneurs create the time and freedom they got into business for in the first place.
The heart of what we do has always been simple: help others pursue their purpose, grow sustainably, and build businesses that actually work for their lives.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been 1000% worth it.
Juggling parenting two young kids, homeschooling, and running a growing business all at the same time has been a lot to adapt to over the last ten years. Thankfully, I have an amazing support system. My husband left his full-time job in 2019 to work alongside me and support my dreams, and that decision changed everything for our family and our business. My parents have also been incredible. My mom has worked with me since day one. We’re a family-run operation through and through, and I think that’s why we connect so well with our clients, many of whom are family-focused business owners themselves.
Some seasons have been harder than others, and I’ve had to get really intentional about where my time and energy go. Technology is always changing too, and keeping up with that while making sure we’re delivering the best possible quality for our clients, readers, and brand partners takes constant learning and adapting. I never want to just keep up. I want to stay ahead and do excellent work.
One of the harder lessons I’ve learned is that saying no is part of the job. Could we have grown into a full-scale agency? Yes… ten times over. But early on, I made the conscious decision to keep our business small because our clients are the most important thing, and I never want to lose that focus.
That’s why we often have a waitlist. I’d rather turn down opportunities than sacrifice the quality and personal attention our clients deserve. Growing bigger would mean becoming more impersonal, and that’s just not who we are. Protecting what makes us different matters more than saying yes to everything. It’s been a challenge at times, but it’s made all the difference.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Online Business Solutions by Allison R. Lancaster LLC ?
I run two connected but distinct parts of my brand: my blog, Loving Living Lancaster, and my marketing company, Online Business Solutions by Allison R Lancaster LLC.
Loving Living Lancaster is where it all started. It’s a lifestyle blog where I share family travel, Disney tips, and features on local businesses, especially in the Orlando and Central Florida area. We visit Disney World often as a family, and I love using the blog to highlight hidden gems, local spots, and small businesses worth knowing about. It’s a passion project that’s grown into something really special and connected me with an amazing community of readers and brands over the years.
Online Business Solutions is the marketing side of what I do. We’re a boutique team serving small business owners locally and worldwide. Our most popular services are Pinterest management, social media management, and general marketing support. We’re not an agency. We’re a small, experienced team that treats every client like a true partner.
What sets us apart is that we actually care. We’re not here to churn out cookie-cutter strategies or disappear after onboarding. We build real relationships, stay in close communication, and focus on results that make a difference. Our hundreds of five-star reviews reflect that, and I’m incredibly proud of the reputation we’ve built.
If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s this: whether you’re looking for intentional marketing support or discovering your next favorite local business through my blog, everything I do comes back to the same mission. I want to help people pursue their purpose, grow sustainably, and build something that truly works for their lives.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Customer service. Without question.
At the end of the day, people want to feel seen, heard, and valued. That’s true whether someone is reading my blog, working with my team on their marketing, or partnering with us on a brand collaboration. How you make people feel matters more than almost anything else.
I’ve built my business on genuine relationships and real communication. We respond quickly, we follow through, and we treat every single client like they’re our only client. That’s not a sales pitch. It’s just how we operate.
Our hundreds of five-star reviews didn’t happen by accident. They came from consistently showing up for people and caring about their success as much as they do. That’s always been the foundation of everything I do, and it always will be.
