Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Villanueva.
Hi Carlos, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started mobile detailing at first but noticed that there was not much of a need for it so I added window cleaning to my services and it began to get really busy. From window cleaning, I began to add other cleaning services in which my customers asked if I did and I began to add dryer vent cleaning, pressure and soft wash cleaning, roof cleaning and much more. I am truly grateful for all of my customers. As long as you do good work and have reasonable pricing, they continue to contact me every 6 months to a year.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most certainly was not a smooth road at all. I have gone through lots of uncomfortable moments with past customers and have also been through many employees that play a good poker face during interviews to get hired. But, this is not a bad thing or something I don’t wish did not happen. I consider all of these issues to be learning curves on both ends of the spectrum. We all have to fall in order to learn from our past mistakes and struggles. It will always come up in some shape or form but the most important part is knowing what to do and how to manage the situations when they arise again. Now, after 6 years in business, I find it to be somewhat of a smooth road because of knowing how to handle any situation.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Carlos Water Works is a cleaning company, more like a one stop shop. When a customer or potential customer asks for a particular service, when I arrive and they see my uniform and truck with all the services I have to offer, they go with me due to the fact that it is easier to just call me for all the other services as well. I do pressure washing, soft washing, dryer vent cleaning, vehicle detailing at my shop, roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, window cleaning, rust removal, paver restoration and much more. I specialize in cleaning, I’m known for or known as the “go to” guy. What sets me apart from other companies is my punctuality. I am always at a customers home or commercial job ten minutes before the appointment time. Customers can rely on me every time! I am proud of my cleaning business brand that my customers choose me even when my prices are higher than a competitor. I want readers to know that my company gives great quality, fair pricing and always giving premium services. If for any reason, a customer is not satisfied, I make it right. I have 3 months, 6 months and yearly services from my regulars and look forward to new customers. I offer free quotes and 10% off for new customers. I look forward to meeting you in 2026.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I take risks all the time! Roof cleaning is a risk, sometimes 2 story gutter cleaning is a risk also BUT, I would rather service customers that don’t want to take that risk and they hire me to do it instead. Being on a slanted roof for several hours with a soft wash system and chemicals is not an easy task. You have to also be in tip top shape and have good balance. I am willing to take the risk because I know what I am doing and as long as I am always careful like I always am, were good. I have been doing roof cleaning for the past 8 years. It is refreshing to see the transformation from black stipes of black mold and green algae to a clean Spanish tile roof or shingle roof. It gives me great satisfaction to see the customer after the job is done.
