Hi Angela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Angie & Marko Photography started from a shared love of storytelling and visual art. Photography began as a passion, a way to document real moments and meaningful connections, and over time it naturally evolved into a business as more people began trusting us to capture some of the most important days of their lives.
As the business grew, we leaned into what felt most true to us: creating imagery that feels natural, emotional, and timeless rather than overly posed. Working together as a husband-and-wife team allows us to bring two creative perspectives to every wedding and session, while also offering our clients a calm, supportive presence throughout the experience.
Today, Angie & Marko Photography serves couples and families who value authenticity, connection, and intentional storytelling. What started as a passion has grown into a full-service photography business built on trust, creativity, and a genuine love for the people we work with.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many small businesses, we’ve faced challenges with consistency, self-doubt, and learning how to balance creativity with the realities of running a business. Building trust, finding our voice in a competitive industry, and learning to value our work appropriately took time and experience.
There were also seasons of juggling full-time work, family responsibilities, and photography, often working behind the scenes late nights and early mornings to keep everything moving forward. Through those challenges, we learned resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to our values. Each obstacle helped shape not only our business, but also the way we care for and show up for our clients today.

We are storytellers at heart, specializing in honest, emotional, and timeless photography for couples, weddings, and families, with a focus on real connection over posed moments.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The quality that has been most important to our success is genuine care. We deeply care about our craft, the people we work with, and the experience we provide. It pushes us to keep growing, to stay thoughtful, and to treat photography as a meaningful responsibility rather than just a service.
