Today we’d like to introduce you to McKenna Perez.
Hi McKenna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Wisconsin and moved down here to Florida in 2016. Shortly after moving down to Florida I went to beauty school. The reason why I wanted to be a esthetician is because ever since i was a little girl i had a passion and love for the beauty industry. In elementary school i had a spa themed birthday party, i loved skincare and giving my mom mini massages. It was something that just came out of me at a young age! When I was in high school I worked at an aveda salon and was there front desk/makeup artist. I loved it and it got my foot in the door of what the industry was like. I have been in the industry for 8 years now. I opened McKenna Olivia skin over 3 years ago and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Honestly, opening a business with no business background is scary. I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew what I loved to do and went for it. Through a lot of prayer and seeking the lord he promised me that he would guide me and lead me. I put my full trust in him and I wouldn’t be where I am today in my business without him!

Mckenna Olivia Skin is a small business owned by McKenna Perez.
I, McKenna Perez and a solo holistic esthetician. I specialize in non-invasive result driven facials. I believe in nurturing your skin from the inside out. What’s happening on the inside will show what’s happening on the outside. My main specialty when it comes to facials is facial cupping, Gua Sha, accupressure, facial massage, etc.
In the world of esthetics I feel like most facials these days don’t include relaxation. I miss the days where you would get a treatment for the skin, but also get a relaxing, stress releasing facial treatment. I incorporate both! I’d have to say 90% of my clients fall asleep during their facials and honestly, it’s the best compliment and i love bringing a whole body wellness to my facials!
At McKenna Olivia skin, I strive to make my clients feel confident in there skin. I want my client to love who they are without feeling like they have to change themselves because the pressure of the world today. Aging is a privilege and it shows the beauty of the lives we live!

My business doesn’t run off luck or bad luck. It runs off the glory of God and what he has done in my life and my business!
