Hidden Gems: Meet OutGrow Therapeutics of OutGrow Therapeutics

Today we’d like to introduce you to OutGrow Therapeutics.

Hi OutGrow, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
OutGrow Therapeutics was born out of a desire to create a more holistic model of care. We are Martie Goldberg, a dual-certified Speech-Language Pathologist and BCBA, and Megan Dore, a COTA with a background in Developmental Psychology.
Between the two of us, we have worked in New York, Massachusetts, Texas, and Florida, spanning settings from public and private schools to private practice and home care. However, despite our years of clinical experience, we both felt a shift was needed in how therapy was delivered.
Following Martie’s battle with breast cancer and Megan’s journey into motherhood, we took a step back to re-evaluate traditional therapy models. During this time, our intense collaboration and constant dialogue allowed us to look at behavior through a much wider lens—analyzing the human experience not just in children, but in adults as well. We combined this introspection with deep dives into neuroscience and listening to the lived experiences of neurodiverse adults to better understand how the brain and body truly connect.
Through this process, we landed on a vital philosophy: self-awareness is the foundation of self-advocacy. We realized that whether you are a parent, a patient navigating a diagnosis, a professional, or a child, understanding yourself is the only way to effectively get your needs met.
We launched OutGrow Therapeutics to bring this insight to life. Whether through Martie’s behavioral and speech expertise or Megan’s creative, play-based sensory interventions, our goal is to help the whole family “outgrow” old struggles by building rapport, understanding, and self-regulation skills.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been an educational one.
At our core, we are therapists—true “people people” who thrive on connecting with children and families. That is where our confidence lies. However, we do not have a background in business, so stepping into the role of entrepreneurs was a steep learning curve. While we can navigate complex behavioral dynamics with ease, spreadsheets and financial logistics are not our native language. Forming the business structure and keeping track of operations, especially as we’ve grown and expanded, has been a significant hurdle we’ve had to work hard to clear.
Another struggle has been managing the vast scope of our vision. We have so many avenues we want to explore—from structuring our unique therapeutic approach within sessions and providing direct coaching to families, to offering professional development for educators. The challenge has been figuring out the sequence and deciding what should come first. Trying to perfectly align these puzzle pieces has sometimes caused us to delay launching certain parts of the business or slowed us down from getting ourselves “out there” as quickly as we would have liked. We have had to learn that building a business, much like the therapy process itself, is about progress, not immediate perfection.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Outgrow Therapeutics, we operate right at the intersection where evidence-based pediatric therapy meets the messy, beautiful reality of parenting. We specialize in supporting the neurodivergent community, specifically focusing on autism, ADHD, behavior, language, and sensory processing differences, by making misunderstood behaviors and quirks actually understood.
We take high-level clinical research regarding sensory integration, emotional regulation, language development, and brain development and distill it down into actionable strategies that work in your home, classroom, or therapy room. We are deeply proud of our ability to bridge the gap between professionals and families. For therapists and educators, we offer high-quality CEU’s and professional development workshops that prioritize practical application over dry theory. We back that up with practical resources designed to make carryover seamless, ensuring that what happens in the therapy room translates to the home, so parents and providers are always on the same team. We are also proud to announce that we are officially ACE providers.
For parents, we offer virtual coaching programs that are fully individualized to the unique realities of neurodivergent parenting. We work alongside you to bridge the gap between confusion and clarity—helping you understand what your child’s behavior is actually communicating, bringing calm to moments of dysregulation, and truly supporting your child’s specific sensory needs. By providing the right strategies and supports, we help move families and professionals from surviving to thriving. Our goal is to help parents, teachers, and therapists feel calm and confident in their approach to the neurodivergent children they love and serve.
Ultimately, we want readers to know that Outgrow Therapeutics is a place where you don’t have to apologize for the chaos. We empower parents and professionals to navigate, and fearlessly advocate within, a world that is still learning how to make space for neurodivergent differences. We invite everyone to visit us at outgrowtherapeutics.com to explore our blogs, coaching, and resources. Whether you are a clinician looking to collaborate or a parent needing solidarity and answers regarding behavior, we are here to help you do more than just get by.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
To show up fully for the families we serve, we rely on resources that bridge the gap between clinical expertise and personal well-being:

Balanced and Barefoot (Angela Hanscom): A vital resource that highlights the necessity of movement and nature in sensory development.

The Whole-Brain Child (Daniel Siegel & Tina Payne Bryson): Our “north star” for translating complex neuroscience into practical emotional regulation strategies.

Atomic Habits (James Clear): This has been instrumental in connecting habits with the principles of behavior. We use these systems within our sessions to help clients build self-awareness and create lasting change through small, manageable shifts.

Insight Timer: Our go-to app for daily meditation, helping us maintain the calm, regulated state necessary to support our families.

Neurodiversally Speaking (Podcast): An essential tool for staying rooted in neuro-affirming practices and learning from lived experiences.

Integrating these resources into our lives allows us to practice what we preach—balancing evidence-based strategies with the mindfulness and self-awareness needed to lead a more intentional, holistic life. These tools remind us that growth is a shared journey; by staying regulated and informed ourselves, we are better equipped to help our clients and families outgrow their own struggles and thrive.
