Hi Yuri, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Yuri, and my story started far from Orlando. I was born and spent my youth years in Minsk, Belarus. In 2003, I moved to the United States and eventually made Orlando my home. Like many immigrants, I started with a simple goal: work hard, learn everything I could, and build something meaningful from the ground up.
I found my path in the countertop and cabinetry industry in 2009, starting at a granite countertop company. That experience became my foundation. I learned the materials, the craftsmanship, the logistics, and how much a well-designed kitchen or space can transform a home and the way people live in it.
In 2012, I took my first big entrepreneurial step and opened a countertop business with a partner. While the partnership eventually ended three years later, the experience was invaluable. It taught me not only the technical side of the business, but also resilience, leadership, and what it truly takes to run a company.
I stayed in the industry, continued refining my skills, and deepened my knowledge in this field. About three years ago, I launched my own company, offering cabinetry, countertops, closets, and full kitchen and home remodeling services. This time, it was built entirely on the vision of staying focused on quality craftsmanship, honest pricing, and creating spaces that homeowners are proud of.
Today, I genuinely love what I do. I enjoy working with clients, seeing ideas come to life, and constantly pushing the business to the next level. My goal is not just to grow bigger, but to grow better. I’m continuously building a trusted, respected brand in Orlando that reflects my journey, my work ethic, and my passion for this craft.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth journey. It’s been filled with challenges, lessons, and moments that tested my patience.
Starting out as an immigrant meant learning everything from scratch: a new country, a new culture, and a new business environment. One of the biggest challenges was navigating my partnership and learning the business side of things the hard way. When my first business partnership ended, it forced me to start over, but it also gave me clarity. My goal was to run my own business, investing all my passion and effort into making it succeed.
Another ongoing challenge has been growth itself. Scaling a business while maintaining quality, managing cash flow, finding reliable labor, and meeting high customer expectations isn’t easy, especially in remodeling industry. There were times when mistakes were expensive, stressful, and discouraging.
However, every struggle pushed me to become better. It made me disciplined, more detail-oriented, and more focused on long-term success. Looking back, all the challenges I faced have had a positive impact. They shaped the way I run my business today, teaching me that consistency, honesty, and persistence matter more than quick wins.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was spending time with my friends, enjoying summers at my grandparents’ house, and watching Disney movies and cartoons. Those moments were simple, carefree, and full of imagination. It feels surreal now to live in Orlando, where Mickey Mouse is practically my neighbor which is a fun full-circle reminder of how those childhood joys still connect to my life today.
