Exploring Life & Business with Larry Powalisz of Adia Nutrition Inc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Larry Powalisz.

Hi Larry, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Larry Powalisz, and I’m the CEO of Adia Nutrition. In June 2021, at 57 years old, I received the diagnosis of Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS), the most aggressive form of the disease. Doctors warned I could be in a wheelchair within 3 to 5 years.
Before HSCT, my symptoms were severe: about three and a half years prior to diagnosis, my left side became paralyzed, I had intense brain fog where I couldn’t focus or think clearly, and I struggled with drop foot that made walking extremely difficult every day. I refused to let that define my future.
I researched relentlessly—everything from CCSVI to advanced regenerative options—and discovered Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (AHSCT). It uses your own stem cells to reset the immune system and halt MS progression. In late 2021, I traveled to Mexico for the procedure: they harvested my stem cells, used chemo to suppress the faulty immune response, then reinfused the healthy ones to rebuild a new, MS-free system. The process worked! HSCT stopped all progression. The left-side paralysis resolved completely, the brain fog cleared up dramatically so I could focus again, and most symptoms improved significantly. Now, years later, the only lingering issue is mild drop foot, but I’m in full remission, active, and no longer living in fear of decline.
That transformation drove me to help others. I founded the nonprofit MS Heal the World to fund and support people pursuing HSCT globally. In January 2024, I acquired Adia Nutrition inc., a public company, trading under the symbol “ADIA” and expanded it into Adia Med, specializing in regenerative therapies—particularly powerful umbilical cord blood-derived stem cells and exosomes in products like AdiaVita. These allogeneic cells deliver strong healing, anti-inflammatory benefits without needing to harvest your own.
Now, AdiaMed offers both HSCT and umbilical cord blood stem cell options as treatments at the Adia Clinic in Winter Park, Florida—bringing these life-changing therapies right here in the U.S. under expert care and Florida’s supportive regulations for regenerative medicine. We’re also advancing with our new AdiaMed Autism study (NCT07304440), a 24-month IRB-approved trial at the clinic. We’re using AdiaVita—our proprietary umbilical cord blood-derived stem cell and exosome product—combined with glutathione for kids aged 3-12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Every child receives three monthly doses to optimize potential gains, and early reports from similar protocols show encouraging improvements for families.
From facing severe paralysis, brain fog, and drop foot before HSCT to now having only mild drop foot left—and leading Adia Nutrition’s mission with innovative options like HSCT and umbilical cord blood stem cells at our clinic—my story shows that perseverance and regenerative breakthroughs can truly turn lives around. We’re just beginning to make a bigger impact.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all—and I don’t think any meaningful path in regenerative medicine ever is. We’ve had our share of hurdles, especially early on with credibility in a cautious field and navigating the regulatory landscape. There were long stretches of waiting for approvals, reworking protocols, and proving every step was rigorous and ethical while families needed options yesterday. But through it all, we’ve been fortunate to have a really strong team that’s stayed locked in and consistently gotten things done ahead of time. That’s exactly how we’ve hit the milestones that matter: our uplisting to OTCQB, opening our first clinic, launching the lab division, and now securing IRB approval to move forward with the autism study. Every challenge has forced us to get sharper, more disciplined, and even more committed to doing this the right way. It’s not easy, but with a team this capable and focused on the mission—safe, effective, accessible therapies—we’ve made steady progress, and that’s what keeps pushing us forward.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Adia Nutrition and our clinical arm, Adia Med, are focused on bringing safe, effective regenerative therapies to families and patients who often feel like they’ve run out of options, where conventional treatments fall short. What we do is develop and deliver umbilical cord blood-derived stem cell and exosome-based interventions through our clinics and lab divisions. Right now, we’re most known for our active U.S.-based autism trial (NCT07304440 on ClinicalTrials.gov), which gives families a fully domestic, ethical alternative to traveling overseas for similar approaches. We specialize in stem cell and exosome technologies that aim to reduce inflammation, support tissue repair, and improve quality-of-life markers—always with a strong emphasis on safety, and transparency. We’ve built our own lab division for consistent, high-quality cell and exosome production, opened our first clinic, achieved our OTCQB uplisting, and secured IRB approval—all while keeping patients and families at the center. Many companies in this space operate abroad or push unproven claims; we’re focused on building credible, evidence-based pathways that could eventually lead to broader accessibility, including potential insurance coverage down the line if the data supports it. Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how we’ve stayed mission-driven through every challenge. We’ve put our heads down, assembled a strong team that consistently gets things done ahead of schedule, and earned trust by being open about what we’re doing, why, and how. Our readers should know that Adia is about real hope backed by real science, U.S.-based options for families who deserve better choices today, not tomorrow. We’re still early in this journey, but every step—our clinic, our lab, our ongoing study—is proof that we’re serious about making regenerative medicine accessible, safe, and trustworthy for the people who need it most.

What does success mean to you?
For me, success is simple: it’s about helping others in a real, meaningful way. If we’re able to give families safe, U.S.-based options they didn’t have before—whether through our autism study, reducing inflammation for those struggling with pain or other orthopedic injuries, or just offering hope backed by solid science—that’s success. It’s not about the milestones for their own sake; it’s about the lives we touch and the difference we make for people who’ve been told “there’s nothing else.” When a parent sees even small improvements in their child, or someone regains a bit more quality of life, that’s what keeps us going. That’s the only metric that truly matters.
