Hi Irina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Russia, where I developed a strong appreciation for beauty, precision, and attention to detail. After moving to the United States with my family, I faced the challenges many immigrants experience — adapting to a new country, learning a new language, and building a new life from the ground up.
My journey into the beauty industry began with a passion for helping people feel confident and beautiful. Over time, I became a licensed nail technician and dedicated myself to mastering advanced nail techniques and modern European standards of nail care.
Today, together with my colleague and business partner Tatiana, we operate a private nail studio near the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, Florida. We specialize in Russian Manicure, Smart Pedicure, nail extensions, and personalized nail care services. Our goal is to provide clients with exceptional quality, attention to detail, and a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels comfortable and valued.
Building our business has been a journey of hard work, continuous learning, and perseverance. As immigrants, entrepreneurs, and women passionate about our craft, we are proud to have created a place where clients can enjoy high-quality services and genuine care.
As a wife, mother of three children, and business owner, I hope our story inspires others to pursue their dreams, embrace new opportunities, and never give up, regardless of the challenges they may face.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was moving to a new country and starting over from scratch. We had to adapt to a different culture, improve our English, learn how business works in the United States, and build a professional network without having many local connections.
Another challenge was establishing ourselves in a highly competitive beauty industry. As nail technicians, we knew we could provide high-quality services, but earning clients’ trust and building a loyal customer base took time, patience, and consistency. Every day required hard work, continuous education, and a commitment to improving our skills.
Balancing business ownership with family responsibilities has also been challenging. As mothers and entrepreneurs, we often have to manage multiple responsibilities at once while still maintaining a high standard of service for our clients.
There were moments when growth felt slow, and there were times when we questioned whether all the effort would pay off. However, every obstacle taught us something valuable. We learned to be resilient, adaptable, and focused on long-term goals rather than short-term setbacks.
Looking back, the challenges were an important part of our journey. They helped us grow both personally and professionally and made us appreciate every achievement even more.

As immigrants who built our careers from the ground up, we are proud of the relationships we have developed with our clients and the reputation we have earned through hard work, consistency, and dedication to our craft.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe the nail industry will continue moving toward higher-quality, specialized services and healthier nail care. Clients are becoming more educated and are looking for skilled professionals who focus on quality, hygiene, and long-lasting results.
I also see continued growth in Russian Manicure, Smart Pedicure, and private boutique salons that offer a more personalized experience. As professionals, Tatiana and I are excited to keep learning, improving our skills, and providing the level of service modern clients expect.
