Hi Vanessa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey has never followed one straight path, and honestly, that’s what shaped V. MARIE LLC. I’ve spent years working in financial services while also building businesses and pursuing opportunities in industries I genuinely enjoy. I started in financial services, became a licensed insurance agent and Florida Notary before obtaining my travel agent certification and expanding into entrepreneurship. I launched a trademarked apparel brand and eventually found myself helping businesses and entrepreneurs with branding, social media, creative direction, and strategy.
What started as simply sharing ideas and helping people I knew naturally grew into something much bigger. I realized one of my strengths is seeing potential, whether it’s in a business, an event, a brand, or an idea and finding creative ways to bring it to life. I’m a connector by nature, and I genuinely enjoy helping people turn thoughts into action and creating opportunities where others may not immediately see them.
Today, V. MARIE LLC reflects all of those experiences and skills. I don’t believe people have to fit into one box, and my own journey is proof of that. I’ve learned, pivoted, rebranded, started over, and continued building. I’m still evolving, but everything I’ve done along the way has helped me get to where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve dealt with setbacks, self-doubt, financial challenges, ideas that didn’t work out as planned, and the reality of balancing a full-time career, motherhood, and multiple business ventures. I’ve also had to learn when to pivot, when to let go of an idea, and when to completely start over.
One of my biggest struggles was realizing that being talented or having a great idea isn’t always enough. You also have to learn the business side, stay consistent, adapt to change, and sometimes be your own biggest supporter when others don’t fully understand your vision.
Every setback has taught me something. I’ve learned not to look at starting over as failure, but as an opportunity to take what I’ve learned and build something better. The road hasn’t always been easy, but it has made me more resourceful, creative, and resilient.
We’ve been impressed with VMarie LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
V. MARIE LLC is a multi-service business built around connection, creativity, and opportunity. My background spans financial services, insurance, travel, notary services, branding, social media strategy, and creative direction. While those areas may seem different, the common thread is my ability to connect people, ideas, and resources.
I specialize in helping individuals and small businesses take an idea and turn it into something tangible. Sometimes that means developing a brand concept or marketing strategy. Other times, it’s creating content, identifying an opportunity, planning travel, providing notary services, or simply helping someone see a bigger vision for what they are already building.
What sets me apart is that I don’t approach every client or business with the same formula. I pay attention to the person behind the brand. I listen, research, and look for details that others may overlook. My mind naturally connects the dots, and many of my best ideas come from seeing an opportunity or connection that wasn’t immediately obvious.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the evolution of V. MARIE LLC. The business originally began with a stronger focus on travel, but as I evolved, my brand had to evolve with me. Rebranding allowed me to build a company that genuinely reflects who I am and the range of skills and experience I bring to the table.
I want readers to know that V. MARIE LLC is for people who have an idea, a business, or a vision but may need help figuring out the next step. I believe creativity and strategy should work together. My goal isn’t to change someone’s vision into mine. It’s to understand their vision, strengthen it, and help bring it to life.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe resourcefulness has been one of the most important qualities behind my success. I don’t always have every answer, but I know how to research, connect the dots, find opportunities, and figure things out. I’m naturally curious and constantly learning, which allows me to adjust, grow, and approach challenges from different perspectives.
I also genuinely pay attention. I listen to what people say, notice small details, and often recognize possibilities and connections that aren’t immediately obvious. That combination of resourcefulness, curiosity, and creativity has helped me throughout both my professional career and entrepreneurial journey.
