Our vision arose from the dream of creating Premium Cigars using only the best tobacco leaves from different regions and manufacturing private brands with the highest quality standards. Thanks to this, our cigars have achieved remarkable success and have been appreciated by the cigar aficionado community worldwide.
We have a team of highly experienced artisans, each with more than 15 years in the industry, who put all their talent, dedication, and knowledge into each cigar. Our production capacity ranges between 350,000 up to 400,000 cigars per year. We manufacture all kinds of vitolas (formats) as required by our customers.
We are committed to satisfying the demand of the most demanding since we have been committed to quality and we ensure it from our factory located in Santiago, Villa González, also known as: “The land of the finest cigar”.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been easy, given that we started with very little; but, thank God, when you are committed to achieving your goals, to create a legacy throght great product, and have the backing of individuals with deep knowledge of the tobacco industry like Mr. Chico (Francisco) Rivas, you gain the support of the cigar community. And it is precisely these factors that make the difference!

Every cigar blend begins by choosing only the best tobacco leaves grown in the Cibao Valley among other regions of the world such as Estelí, in Nicaragua, San Andrés in Mexico, Connecticut, USA, among others.
When you smoke one of our cigars you will experience an earthy aroma with delicious notes of honey and a subtle aroma of roasted corn in the first third. As the smoke progresses, the flavor of aged tobacco is distinguished along with notes of pepper and dry wood, reaching the final third we find flavors of dark cocoa and mixed nuts, thus leaving the palate wanting another Continental cigar!

BRIEF HISTORY
R & F represents the initials of the surname of the founders of Continental Cigars “Román & Fernández”. The two young Dominican entrepreneurs shared the same dream of creating beloved cigars. They wanted to create a brand that not only produced excellent cigars, but also shared the rich legacy of the Dominican cigar culture across all continents. With this vision in mind, they named their company “Continental Cigars” manufactured by their factory “Continental Cigars Factory.”
Román & Fernández endlessly shared ideas on how to serve the cigar aficionado and maintain the tradition of Dominican cigars. To accomplish this goal, they partnered with renowned master blender Joel Jiménez shortly after forming their company. Mr. Jimenez was raised in a family of tobacco growers and cigar makers, allowing him to master the art of blending tobacco for a rich smoking experience. With Joel’s experience, vision, and tireless nights, we created Continental Cigars Golden Edition for the world to enjoy.
Mr. Román, His great-grandfather was one of the most prominents tobacco farmers from his mother’s side plus he is half cuban from his father’s size. BA in Modern Languages with a major in English from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD). While attending the university, he started a tailor-made travel company and later established a hostel (guest house) in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. His passion for traveling led him to discover the cigar culture beyond what he already knew in his homeland. Traveling through countries such as the USA, Peru, Mexico and Cuba in search of trying new flavors and aromas that would allow him to create high quality cigars by the hand of his master blender.
Mr. Fernández, studied ecology and environmental management, graduated from the Higher Institute of Agriculture (ISA University). His career began with the founding of an environmental consulting company in Santiago de los Caballeros and later he became the deputy advisor in charge of developing special programs for the Ministry of the Presidency (General Directorate of Special Programs of the Presidency General Directorate of Special Programs of the Presidency, DIGEPEP) and working for the Ministry of Agriculture in different areas such as tobacco, different fruits, renewable energies, etc.
The two entrepreneurs have unique backgrounds and upbringings, but share the same love, vision and passion for tobacco culture and this can be seen in each of their cigars. Today, R&F Continental Dominican Cigars continues to grow and work on its future editions and manufacturing private blends for other brands in the Dominican Republic and the United States of America for cigar companies such as “Privada Cigar Club, Distinguished Ruffians, House Blend Direct, Attaie Cigars, Friend’s Cigars, Hamilton Cigars, among others.”
