Conversations with Laramie Otto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laramie Otto.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2020 I quit my 9-5 job on a whim with the hopes of building a life I truly wanted to live. I yearned for time and freedom. I had created a blog in 2016 that led me to meet so many different people and companies which led me to starting a social media management & consulting business during the pandemic when businesses were forced to show up online. Six years later I’m still doing it. I’m so grateful for every business I have worked with and those that I work with today!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Entrepreneurship isn’t for the weak, it’s a rollercoaster. The journey of learning your worth and learning when to say no are just a few key lessons I had to learn, along with you will not be for everyone and that is ok. We don’t have to be the right fit for everyone.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a social media manager and content creator. I help overwhelmed entrepreneurs show up for their ideal clients online. I always communicate even if you are not my client, if we have worked together in any way I will always check in on you which I feel is so important.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve always been pro you have to spend money to make money in business and this is true in my own business as well. Some would see it as a risk to take all your savings and invest in a business coach to start a business while I saw that as an investment in my future and the life I wanted. Money will always come back to you, but you need to invest in yourself and your business to make it!
