Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Essig.
Hi Megan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi! I have been in the beauty industry since high school dual enrolled since 16 years old. I have lived in multiple places, all in the industry, including California, Utah, New Zealand, but most of my career has been spent here in Central Florida. I have been self-employed for the last 17 years. I am in the process of building a team and I most recently started my own hair extension line this year.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The first 10 years were really tough getting established in industry. Now I know what it takes to build and maintain a business. There are always challenges when it comes to life and business overall, I know how to get over the hurdles and I know there’s always a way to overcome.

I am Salon studio owner. I specialize in hair, color and hair extension transformations. Particularly love the transformation aspects of my craft. Being able to transform women into their best selves every day.
