Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Surun.
Hi Kiara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I always knew that I wanted to help people but I just didn’t know how I would do it. Even as a child I was the one in the kitchen offering to help while anyone was cooking or massaging my mom’s legs when they were hurting from one of her M.S. triggers. It just brought me a deep sense of joy to be able to help and support the people around me.
As time passed, my mother’s health declined, so we jumped from house to house and I wound up picking up a book and journaling when things felt overwhelming. That habit grew into one of my greatest passions. I went from writing when I was down to writing in my every free moment. Writing kept me sane in some of the most difficult moments and reminded me of my strength. I eventually shared my poetry at different open mics and something pretty incredible happened: people connected with my writings and asked me for more and my two greatest passions merged. In 2020 I wrote and published my very first poetry book, which gave me the courage to open up my first physical business, Enhanced Esthetic, where I help my clients reclaim their confidence by way of non-invasive body sculpting treatments and I keep my poetry books on hand for anyone who wants an extra push or a great read!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It wasn’t a smooth road, I wasn’t taught business from my parents. I’ve pretty much been learning along the way and with the help of my mentor. I will say that the lessons I’ve learned from falling leave a lasting impression on me and I tend to stay clear of making the same mistakes twice.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I perform non-invasive body contouring procedures which enhance the esthetic of the client while also motivating them to make healthier choices to keep the results and lead a healthier lifestyle. I’m very proud of the way that I’m able to positively affect my clients moods and confidence and my incredible passion for what I do pushes me to always be better than yesterday and keeps me forever a student to learning all that I can to better my results and my business.

It’s important to remember that while there will always be obstacles, the only one who is in control of your destiny is you. You’re the one who decides whether or not you’ll keep trying or if you’re going to quit.
