Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Lloyd.
Hi Madison, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, to be honest, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing for me. During my years in middle school, it was hard to find who I was and I felt that if I didn’t fit into the other girls at my school, I wouldn’t be considered “cool.” It led me to start thinking I wasn’t good enough for this world. It was so hard for me to convince myself I wasn’t alone even though I pushed everyone away. But then the Lord saved me and he helped me to realize that he’s not done with me yet and I have so much to offer in this world.
That’s when I realized it didn’t matter what anyone thought of me because their more worried about their own lives anyway, and if they did care enough to judge, it couldn’t affect me. I decided to become an influencer and take social media seriously semi-recently. I knew it was the perfect way to get my story and interests out there to the world! My goal is to not only become a fashion influencer and share my love of clothing but also to bring a positive, uplifting environment to the people around me. I know what it feels like to have low self-esteem and I want to show the world that your beautifully and wonderfully made by the Lord!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well, it was hard for me to love and accept myself. During 8th grade, I decided I wanted to try Florida Virtual School. Well, let’s just say it’s definitely not for me haha! My parents were going into work everyday and all my friends were at school so I was home alone everyday. Being alone with myself scared me because I knew I wasn’t okay but I didn’t want tell anyone. But, these obstacles definitely made me who I am today!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well, being new to the social media world, I’m also new to the modeling world! I thoroughly enjoy taking pictures and modeling is definitely a great way for me to express my feelings through photos! I guess that’s probably another reason I enjoy influencing so much! I went to the Barbizon School of Modeling and Acting to learn the basics of the industry. Let me tell you that school was a lifesaver for me! It opened so many new doors and I wouldn’t be the same person without it!
How do you think about happiness?
Number one thing is definitely God! I’m a Christian so I believe that God sent his perfect son to die on the cross for all of our sins. He has brought me out of so many hard times and showed me real, true love! I’ve never felt better about myself in my life. Spending time with God and being a child of his makes me feel whole! On a more creative note, photography makes me incredibly happy. Being able to express yourself through a camera lens is an amazing thing!
