Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Bradham.
Hi Nicole, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m Nicole, Agency owner of HotMod Agency in Lakeland, Florida. Over the past five years, my passion for helping women has evolved and taken on a life of its own. I think about how I can make a difference in women’s lives every day. Why? Because I’ve been there. All the places. I’ve lived in regret, insecurity, unworthiness, loneliness, being bullied, made bad choices and dealt with consequences. I’ve experienced it all.
One day I decided that women don’t have to make the same mistakes. They can forge better paths by learning from the ones who’ve gone before them. If I tell enough women they are worthy; if I present enough opportunities and mentor as many women as possible, I can make a difference in hundreds of thousands of lives. The women whom I support and mentor will take that knowledge and kindness and share it with others. It has the potential to create a web of empowered women who support one another, and that’s the dream.
HotMod Agency is a vessel to empower women influencers to have the confidence to START, to NEGOTIATE, to provide excellent CONTENT and make an INCOME, all at the same time. We provide the resources and coaching to make these intentions a reality. On the other side, we work with local businesses in our community and pair them with local influencers to improve their marketing strategies with a reasonable budget. Traditional marketing such as magazines and commercials are expensive and often a “catch-all” approach to reaching their target market. When a local business utilizes the benefits of partnering with a local influencer who has an audience that is their ideal customer/client, then the reach is much more impactful. I often refer to myself as a small business advocate and an influencer enthusiast! I absolutely believe there is nothing more powerful than collaboration and empowering our local businesses through support and opportunities such as influencer partnerships!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles I encountered while growing my business were start-up costs from office space to online subscriptions; business expenses add up quickly. I suggest for any new entrepreneur to save before they decide to go out on their own. The biggest challenge I’ve faced is how easy it is to get caught up in the day-to-day activities of running a business and ignoring the higher-level tasks that actually move my business forward. It’s easy to mark off items on your “To Do” list, but in order to grow, you have to delegate and time block. The small tasks can be handed off to an intern or virtual assistant so you can make room for your big goals!

HotMod Agency specializes in brand and business collaborations with influencers. Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I’ve learned some amazing lessons during the Covid-19 crisis! One is, you are never as prepared as you think you are. When clients started falling off because they just couldn’t afford services anymore, I had to figure things out quick. Since the crisis, I am more intentional about saving money and having plans in place to counteract losing clients.
