Hidden Gems: Meet Brandon Narain of Bluenotes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Narain.

Hi Brandon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was raised by single mother and grandmother. Shared a bedroom with my grandmother until the age of 15. I started cleaning toilets and sweeping at a barbershop until I learned to cut hair. Then wanted more, so I volunteered at Florida hospital until they gave me a position as a patient transporter.

I was juggling cutting hair going to community college and working at the hospital that I was stuck. Started real estate and now I own several business and speak around the country teaching others about finical literacy and how to get started in real estate.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I have had many struggles. From cleaning and volunteering for jobs. Then struggling as a realtor to quitting and restarting my real estate career as an investor

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a real estate investor. My company helps home flippers buy investment properties to renovate. This helps with bringing the value in neighborhoods higher, providing better homes and housing. I also teach people how to make thousands of dollars doing what we do without any previous experience a license and no credit.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Yes, as an entrepreneur, you have to take risks. Every single day we take risks crossing the street or getting behind the wheel. I basically dropped out of college once I got my associate’s degree from pursuing my nursing career. I’m sure people were looking at me like I was crazy as well as I quit my job at the hospital, which a lot of people would say is stability and a step in the right direction.
