Check Out Luis Lasanta’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Lasanta.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Luis J. Lasanta, professionally known as VeliMuzik. In 2017, I decided to stop investing in other people’s ideas and begin to invest in my craft. I went back to school (FIRST Institute), where I obtained my Audio Engineering Diploma. I started an internship at a local recording studio, where I gain experienced and knowledge. I continued my education by reading books, internet research, etc.

In 2018, I opened open up our own Independent Record Label (VeliMuzik) and Recording Studio (The Phantom Room). We now have three artists singed and working with local talent developing them and exposing them to the world. Now, as an Independent Record Label, VeliMuzik, LLC is backed up by a team of professionals who have been actively working in the Entertainment Industry for over 30 years. My vision is to build a diverse brand where undiscovered talents can make their dreams a reality. My mission is to bring creativity to its highest potential, provide high standards of sound quality and services with effective facets of management, promotions, marketing, music, and show production.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. There’s been millions of bumps in my journey. Trying to push the brand with no budget was very hard. Having to record, mix & master the song, distribution, marketing, social media, artists & studio management was very tough, but with the help of my wife, I was able to manage through.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Record Executive, Record Producer, Artist Manager, and Entrepreneur. I specialize in developing artists. I’m most proud of opening my Independent Record Label & Recording Studio and having three artist signed. I’m passionate and I love what I do and it shown though my music.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the digital industry taking over the radios and TV.
