Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Nicole Ross.
Hi Dr. Ross, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a military wife, and we have lived all over the world. This instability presented a huge problem when it came to me being able to work. I always had a passion for business, so I decided to start my own. I started New Perspective Consulting Services to be able to pursue my passion for not only business but helping others. As a business coach and mentor, I am able to do just that. Every day I get to speak with various businesses and help them accomplish their dream of successful entrepreneurship. Since Covid shut down the world, making everything virtual, I have also put together an Entrepreneur Bootcamp where a small number of business owners are able to come together for one full day in a safe space and get stronger in their business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been easy, especially being in a space where not many people know me. I graduated from UCF back in 2003 and moved away, so coming back in 2016 was like starting all over again. I didn’t have much of a support system, so I had to grow the business from the ground up all alone. All while working as an adjunct college professor and taking care of my family. My children are still young, so being present in their lives was and still is my number one priority.
