Today we’d like to introduce you to Irvin Pena
Hi Irvin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a full-time financial education influencer. I started taking YouTube and TikTok seriously around April 2020. It was right at the start of the pandemic, many of my tax clients and real estate clients had questions about the market & stimulus proposals.
I started making videos about it and then texting them the link, then I started to notice my videos were getting thousands of views and hundreds of shares. At that point, I knew a large portion of people were searching for these answers, not just my clients so I began to double down post 1-2 videos a day for the next four months. Here we are today, 113k subs on Youtube, 650k on Tiktok and 12k on IG, all geared around financial education, mindset and building multiple income sources.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like anything else, life has its ups and downs and it’s all about adjusting as you go. Probably the most difficult things we faced along the way was the volume of content being pumped out on multiple channels as a one-man show. I had to wear all the hats, research, scriptwriting, recording, soundcheck, editing, replying to comments, messages and then adding in the 2nd channel (Insight With Irv), which is the podcast channel throws in a whole new element.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Apart from creating financial/business content that’s easy to understand, I also do 1-on-1 calls with clients where I help them either scale their online presence, help them create a financial strategy or help them get their thoughts in one direction by having a mindset session.
I’m also proudly working with large brands where I team up with other businesses to refer their products to my audience, digital products on our site ranging from courses to grow your own YouTube channel into a profitable business and credit cleaning bundles to help restore your own credit. I would say the main thing that sets me apart from other financial channels is you’re not just getting the “money talk” with me. I’m intentional about the content that I put out to help you with the five pillars of life we all engage with daily: Spiritual, Social, Personal Finance, Physical Health & Mental Health.
Any big plans?
I’m currently planning on introducing more product lines that will go beyond just fixing your credit. What do you do after your credit is perfect? What do you do once you’ve built up all of this capital and save some money? How do you build off of the foundation? These are all questions that I plan on answering. We’re also working toward building the podcast Insight with Irv to world-known brand OUTSIDE of personal finance and business, where we plan to have guests from all walks of life bringing their experiences and insight to the stage for others to learn from
