Community Highlights: Meet Liliana Lamadrid of La Rosa Realty CW Properties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liliana Lamadrid.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My face turns into a grateful expression when I think about all I have been through… I moved to the USA nine years ago to establish a family with my oldest daughter and two suitcases full of expectations and dreams. Prior to coming here, I was working for several years as a sales representative and sales coach in two Pharma companies (I studied Biology as a career). I worked with different customers and I learned so much about client relations. Besides, I was helping to run my family businesses. I grew and learned so much from those experiences, but in my heart, I knew it was not my life’s calling. I have always been a person that loves to enjoy other’s happiness and be part of that. Even though that sounds like a stereotyped answer, it is true.

I have a serving and caring soul and I hadn’t found the right outlet for it yet. After moving to Orlando, I started to study English with a little baby in her seat by me in the classroom, overcoming all my fears and doubts, after that, I met people that were working on real estate business for a long time, I heard their remarkable story, and from that moment something clicked. I love encouraging and challenging people but it didn’t ever dawn on me to make a career out of it.

I started working with a wonderful foreign family from Colombia that I hadn’t met before. They wanted to make an investment in the USA. It was so challenging, but honoring my commitment with them, being honest and trustworthy, I won their entire trust and eventually, with the sum of small wins and consistency, I started getting my own clients.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
All I have learned has not been because I have had a paved path to walk, as part of my personal and professional growth, I appreciate the mistakes and the moments where I have had to face events that have made me feel afraid or at risk of losing a business or my clients. I remember that moment where my first clients asked me how many transactions I had made… at that moment, I was driving and I was sweating cold, I was terrified to answer since this was the first transaction (I was not sure what I was doing) and I felt a lot of pressure, not only for wanting to do my job well done, but also, for the type of clients and investment, but finally, I responded back with the truth and they trusted me. I am waiting on them for their next project!

I learned fast, and I was never afraid to seek advice or ask questions. Thankfully I had a great coach and a team supporting me always. I could write a book with all the stories I have to tell about my moments of difficulty. Difficult clients? Yes! Occasions where I have had to admit that I could do something better? Yes! but if you don’t act and make decisions, you will never get your reward.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I consider myself a great listener and with the soul of a teacher, I love to explain everything incessantly until people understand what their part is in this process in order to get the best results. I have my personal style to treat and take care of my clients and friends in a different way. My signature style is my perseverance in achieving everything that I propose for my clients, understanding their needs and preferences. Each client has a different DNA and that’s why I seek to find for them the home with the conditions that adapt to their particular lifestyle, unique and tailored. The most beautiful thing about what I do is that each experience is different. However, what connects them is that at the end everyone is happy with the satisfaction of having achieved their goals.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Make your client’s happiness your priority. Clients who enjoy their space and who feel that you understood and helped them move forward throughout the entire process. I would have liked to know how to discern that there are people who help or destroy you and that you have to choose wisely from the beginning.
