Inspiring Conversations with Samantha Eckhaus of Corner House Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Eckhaus.

Hi Samantha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Corner House Photography began through friendship, in one of my close friends asking for me to capture their engagement, which led to their wedding. My professional photography career until that point was focused on capturing large scale conventions. Finding a passion and love for the beauty in my friend’s story, led into diving deeper into the wedding photography world. From there, our team grew and we are honored to be a part of documenting so many beautiful memories for so many incredible couples throughout Florida.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The sunny state of Florida can on occasion not be so sunny. With our destination couples, and even local, we always like to prepare for a plan B. It can be disappointing to not have your ceremony in the exact location you planned for, but by having a backup prepared for in advance will really help soften the decision if due to rain, storms, etc. Our team has in turn encountered difficult lighting situations, in which we have grown in our experience of on and off camera lighting to account for these last minute changes.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Corner House Photography?
Corner House Photography is a Florida based wedding photography team. Our Orlando wedding photographer and Tampa wedding photographer teams travel throughout the sunny state capturing where love can be found. In addition to serving Central Florida the West Coast, and the East Coast, we travel throughout Florida from the Keys to Georgia, and everywhere in between. Capturing and creating beautiful wedding imagery that tells the story of your special day is the heart and soul of our company.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Truly the artistic values my father has instilled in me from the moment I could get my hands on crayons would be my favorite childhood memory. My parents helped me pursue any and all artistic outlets that I took interest in, of which my mother pushed for me to advance in photography seeing a passion within me. From that passion, the pursuit of growing my love into a business flourished.
