Meet Pablo Aragona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pablo Aragona.

Hi Pablo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a music producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I used to work as a musical director and drummer onboard Royal Caribbean cruise ships. My father is a music conductor, so music has always been a part of my life. I started playing music when I was nine years old.

I met my wife Hayley while working for Royal Caribbean. She is an ice skater and singer. When the cruise industry was on pause during the pandemic, we went to California to get married and spend some time out west. During all the uncertainty of 2020, we recorded several songs together, which are available on music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora. We also started performing live shows together and finally decided to move to Winter Park, Florida to start a life on land.

Nowadays, I work teaching music production lessons and recording music for different films in my own recording studio.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The music industry is not easy. It has been a challenge, and it still is. As a musician, you have to spend a lot of money on new gear, and you also have to been informed about new software and new techniques. At the same time, I am having rehearsals with a jazz/fusion quintet, we play my own compositions, so that involves having the charts ready for them, taking care of the rehearsal schedule and also getting the gigs!

I enjoy what I do but sometimes it can get very challenging and intense at the same time.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am very proud of my career achievements, especially working as a musical director for Royal Caribbean International, that was one of the most challenging jobs I have ever had. I love working with people and I really enjoy recording, producing and playing live performances as well.

What’s next?
Before the end of the year, I will release a new album and a music video for a song we recently released called “Into The Water.”  At the same time, I am looking forward to working with more and more artists around the world and recording music for more films. The idea for next year is just focus on live performances and touring as much as we can.
