Today we’d like to introduce you to Embraces Academy.
Hi Embraces, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are Joanne and Perleri, we both are Dentists from Venezuela and graduated as Orthodontists in Brazil. We met in the US. Perleri was leading the clinical orthodontic staff in a busy Orthodontic office where Joanne used to work prior become a Dental Hygienist.
Embraces academy is a story that was born from a difficulty. After the office where we worked was experiencing a recent loss in staff, due a colleague had moved out of state, they were in the need of hire a new Orthodontic Assistant with experience. Since there were no time to train a General Dental Assistant, we where in need to train them and thats was the moment that we saw the opportunity to start our project. The idea of creating a training school for general assistant to become Orthodontics assistant was always on the table. It was a Joanne idea but we needed the push in order of materialize the dream.
We could say that the unsuccessful search of an orthodontic assistant in the office where we worked in addition to the ads requiring Orthodontic Assistants everywhere, posted for long periods of time without success, were the push that we needed which motivated us to undertake. And thats how embraces academy was born, we are a place where we help Dental assistant in complete their training to became orthodontics assistant, improving their knowledge, salary and lifestyle.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy road this project began before the pandemic and we had to stop it and we resumed it again in June 2021 and we feel that we are still in our beginning, putting our name in the market and building our reputation. and so far our perseverance and professionalism have given satisfactory results
We’ve been impressed with Embraces academy , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our purpose with This course is train and prepare dental assistants and international dentist who want to obtain knowledge and skill in orthodontics. The course will provide students with the essential knowledge, skills and experience to successfully acquire an entry level position as an orthodontic dental assistant. Unlike others we specialize in hands on training making it more dynamic and easy to learn.
How do you think about happiness?
makes us happy that by fulfilling our dream we help others. Be able to give the help that we didn’t have in our moment.
