Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenny Ng.
Hi Kenny, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico. I moved to Florida in 2007 at the age of 17. Graduated from Sheridan Technical College in Hollywood, FL in automotive service technology. Currently driving around the states and learning the most I can about all the new places I visit. You can see snaps of my road trips and projects in my social media accounts.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. I am mostly self-taught and lots of mistakes were made along the way but without those mistakes, I wouldn’t have come to learn the things I know now.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I was always attracted to Japanese modified cars since the 90’s, at first working on cars started purely as a hobby but slowly it became my daytime job. Around 2014, I opened an Instagram account under the name 305Garage to offer my car repair and customization services but also to network with others in the car tuning scene.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I grew up in a home where risk taking wasn’t promoted nor supported. I consider myself the risk taker of my family since I am always doing this differently from them. Life has shown me multiple times that in order to grow and reach the best version of ourselves we have to step out of our comfort zone.
