Meet Brandee Thunberg of Sunshine Transformations

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandee Thunberg.

Hi Brandee, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey to becoming a Healthy Lifestyle Designer and founding Sunshine Transformations was very organic. It began with my own personal journey to vibrant health and wellness.

Growing up, I was sick all the time. Lots of tummy aches, a lot of sinus infections, a lot of ear infections. At the age of 14, my body struggled with low red blood cell counts causing me to lose a couple of months of my life trying to overcome this. Then, at the age of 17, I developed an ulcer. Yes, you read that right, 17. That is crazy! Then at the age of 21, I had this dark cloud that I just could not seem to get rid of. We are talking over 20 years ago when serious conversations dealing with depression was not as easy to do as it is now.

I knew something was wrong. I was graduating college, had many companies looking to hire me and was engaged to the man of my dreams. I should have felt on top of the world. I got brave and reached out for some help.

I went to a doctor and explained that something was just not right. I had this fog and felt sadness. I told him I thought I was depressed. He laughed at me. He literally sat there and laughed at me. He said, “You are not depressed. You came in here, you said hello to everybody, and you smiled. You’re fine.” We went back and forth a little bit. Very reluctantly, he had the nurse give me a questionnaire. I was told, “We’ll call you tomorrow with the results”.

Well, tomorrow must be a long time away because I am still waiting for that phone call. I see now that was a blessing because I walked out of that office and knew if I wanted things to change, I had to be my biggest advocate.

I realized that most of the doctors I had seen knew how to put a Band-Aid® on things or how to push me away but not heal me. So, I began my journey to heal myself. It took a long time and a lot of money, but I discovered four key pillars to improved health and wellness. Along the way, people began noticing my improvements. I began sharing with them and they began seeing improvement in their health and wellness too. I realized I loved helping people this way, so I decided to become a certified coach.

I have completed two certifications. One with Institute for Integrative Nutrition and one with Dr. Sears Wellness Institute to make sure that I not only have my personal background knowledge and experience but that I am empowered with certifiable knowledge to share with others along their journey.

Sometimes the struggles we are given in life become the biggest blessings because they allow us to help others in life-changing ways. When you have the gift of good health, it creates a ripple effect in all aspects of your life. I am blessed to have helped so many beautiful people find that kind of vibrant health.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been filled with many bumps, potholes, and ditches as most entrepreneurs have probably experienced. The biggest struggle in my health journey was learning how to read my own body so I could figure out what did and didn’t work for me. That same struggle created the coaching program and the book that helps others do the same.

The biggest struggle when I created my business was learning that it is OK to not be good at every aspect of a business. That my strengths are in coaching, teaching, and knowing my content. Business admin not so much. It is OK to have help to complete the other task so I can focus on the important tasks I need to complete.

Although difficult to see while you are going through it, you look back and realize the challenges and struggles help you learn and pivot to the correct place to be so you, your business and your clients have tremendous success.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sunshine Transformations?
I am a Healthy Lifestyle Designer that uses my four pillar system to successfully help overworked, stressed-out people REDUCE their stress and anxiety, INCREASE their mental and physical energy, CREATE harmony in life and work, and ELEVATE their business. As an author and a speaker, I have had the opportunity to take stages and share my work at conferences, businesses, expos, and school districts throughout the US to inspire and encourage people to take control of their health and wellness. I love delivering hands on, actionable items in my messages. For example, last month when I spoke in San Antonio, I created a Harmony Helper Tool Kit with the audience. Every attendee left with three items to they could do everyday at any time to create more harmony in their life.

What sets us apart at Sunshine Transformations is bio-individuality. We understand that each person is unique and what works for one may not work for another. Therefore, we don’t have a cookie-cutter program, we customize the program to you. We teach you how to read and understand your body while exposing you to key concepts behind the four pillars of health and wellness. This allows us to meet our clients where they are at and successfully get them to where they want to be.

We just launched a new division of Sunshine Transformations for Educators called Happy Healthy Educator. We are transforming the profession by helping Educators take control of their mental and physical wellness. This is a well-needed service for Educators currently. We are honored to be at the forefront of this movement.

We love sharing health and wellness. Feel free to head over to SunshineTransformations.com and get your FREE Anxiety Reducing Energy Boosting Jump Start Guide so you can begin your journey today.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I have been fortunate enough that God has always placed the right people in the right place at the right time. They say business is all about who you know. I learned all about that. Coming into this business as a heart-centered educator and coach with little business experience at the time, I quickly learned the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. I have been blessed with key mentors and business coaches who have been able to guide me and my business to the next level. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
